I am trying a good article review. Adityavagarwal (talk) 16:21, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

There are a few errors based on the good article criteria.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
"of Magdalena Island, Aisén Province, Chilean Patagonia." in a list with more than two elements an "and" is required. "of Magdalena Island, Aisén Province, and Chilean Patagonia." might do. "such as Menlolat, Montalat, Montolot and Matalot have been identified." here too. In a list with more than two elements, say X1, X2, ... , XN then "X1, X2, ..., and XN". So, a comma seems missing."include: clinopyroxene, olivine, orthopyroxene and plagioclase." here too. Also here "buried and plants which do not tolerate shadowing can grow". "the Northern Volcanic Zone, the Central Volcanic Zone, the Southern Volcanic Zone and the Austral Volcanic Zone" here too.
"the Austral and the Southern volcanic zone" instead, should the "zone" not be plural?
"include Melimoyu and Cay to the north, Maca and Cerro Hudson to the south of Mentolat, as well as several monogenetic volcanoes" instead, "include Melimoyu and Cay to the north, Maca and Cerro Hudson to the south, as well as several monogenetic volcanoes" would seem more of include similar elements.
" South of Hudson the Chile Rise subducts in the trench." is it " South of Hudson, the Chile Rise subducts in the trench." instead? Just an advice for "South of Hudson the Chile Rise subducts in the trench.[19][21] Volcanic activity is absent in the 500 kilometres (310 mi) long area, as its subduction disrupts the slab. ", instead of "South of Hudson, the Chile Rise subducts in the trench, which disrupts the slab, due to which volcanic activity is absent in the 500 kilometres (310 mi) long area.[19][21] "
" Volcanic activity has been inferred from tephra layers in lakes and outcrops" since a specific volcano activity is being asked then you might have to put a "the" as well.
"MENo tephra" seems like "MEN0 tephra" seeing the others.
"These are Mentolat's the best preserved volcanic deposits." instead, "the" seems additional.
"The eruption deposited lapilli pumice," wrong punctuation might be there.
"Large explosive eruptions in the southern segment of the Southern Volcanic Zone occur on average every 725 years.[29] and tephras from volcanoes in the Southern Volcanic Zone have been transported over large distances." "on average of" and the punctuation seems wrong.
"as could other towns" , a missing "the" might be present. There are missing "the" here and there as well.
"canopies plants" seems "canopy plants" is better.
"under the influence of pyroclastic flows the snowpack can melt" instead of "under the influence of pyroclastic flows, the snowpack can melt".
"as the one" instead of "as the ones" if the volcano created more than one lahars. So did it?
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    B. All in-line citations are from reliable sources, including those for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons—science-based articles should follow the scientific citation guidelines:
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

@Adityavagarwal: Got most of the issues, but the first issue is not a list, but a location reference and thus does not require an "and". Also, the original source says MENo not MEN0. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 16:54, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I thought there might be fewer errors in articles edited by you. :) Yeah just let me see. Adityavagarwal (talk) 17:26, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, there are a few lists with an and not having a comma before like "Menlolat, Montalat, Montolot and Matalot" and a few more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adityavagarwal (talkcontribs) 17:52, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
For series X1, X2, X3, and Xn or X1, X2, X3 and Xn are both equally acceptable as long as the article is consistent throughout in which is used (this is the so-called Oxford comma - see MOS:OXFORD). Nthep (talk) 18:25, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, thank you for your assistance. Adityavagarwal (talk) 15:44, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
