Is any of this actually *notable*?

Just about all of the article reads like a chamber of commerce "local interest" piece; it's very low on WP:N. To wit: "Reverend Lawrence Wartman...is widely believed to have been the first Lutheran preacher who settled in Rockingham County". In what way is "the first Lutheran preacher...in Rockingham County even remotely notable to an encyclopedia? The article continues "Reverend Philip Charle Van Gemunden, a German Reformed preacher, arrived in the county in 1762 and preached at the Upper Peaked Mountain church which had been established in the area which is now McGaheysville." Again -- a non-notable person and a non-notable church. More: "Several buildings in McGaheysville date to 1840. Stumps Antique Mall was built in 1910 and was originally used as Model T garage." -and so? "The town is currently home to an elementary school, completed in 1969 and built on the site of the former high school, which had been destroyed by fire in 1968.[9] McGaheysville has a volunteer fire department, which hosts a weekly bingo and an annual three-day lawn party in the summer when families turn up to enjoy live music, rides and games and eat." Folks, there are literally tens of thousands of towns in the US alone that have an elementary school and high school, fire department, lawn party, etc. That doesn't make them notable. It's nice to have civic pride, and these things probably matter to a few hundred locals, but certainly not to WP users at large. Please pare this article way down to conform with WP:N. For guidelines, please consult Wikipedia:Places of local interest, paying particular attention to "Audience: The source's audience must be considered per Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies)#Primary_criteria. Evidence of attention by international or national, or at least regional, media is a strong indication of notability. On the other hand, attention solely from local media, or media of limited interest and circulation, is not an indication of notability." Bricology (talk) 07:28, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
