Official name of the Hambantota International Airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. This name applied by the Sri Lankan Government.

The proper way to re-name the article was to ask for it be moved. Your copy-paste edits have corrupted edit histories and made a lot of work for others.--obi2canibe^{talk contr} 16:35, 17 March 2013 (UTC

I believe the correct pronunciation is Maththala, not Mattala. Similar to Thaththa, not Tatta (sinhala word for father/dad). I don't think there will be any child in the whole country who would call his/her father Tatta. So why this Mattala nonsense?
