Kodansha Encyclopedia warns that there are three men with the same name who lived about the same time. One is easily confused with the other ....

Matsudaira Ietada (松平家忠, died 1581) was a Japanese samurai of the Sengoku period. He was one of the Tōjō branch of the Matsudaira clan. He died without an heir.<:ref>Kodansha. (1983). "Matsudaira Ietada" in Kodansha Encyclopedia of Japan, Vol. 5, p. 131.</ref>
