HickoryOughtShirt?4, are you planning to work on this? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 14:20, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mike Christie, I apologize for my lack of activity. I am having a family event this week that has occupied much of my time. Please allow me some more time to make these changes. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:39, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
No problem; just wanted to make sure you're planning to work on it. I'll check in again in a week. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 21:11, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
HickoryOughtShirt?4, just checking in again to see when you might be able to address these points. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 09:34, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Most points above are struck now so I'll read through again and do a spotcheck. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 11:25, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Spotchecks:

  • FN 14 cites "As a result of his focus on hockey, Fehérváry missed nearly a year of school while studying at the School of Business and Services in Trnava." Looking at the machine translation, I think this source doesn't say this -- the year he missed seems to have been before the School of Business.
    • Looking at it again, it says He missed the whole year one which I think means his first year.
I tried it with another translator and it convinced me that you’re right, but that it should say a whole year, not part of one, so I’ve removed “nearly” from the article. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 22:41, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • FN 27 cites "Following another recall in February, Fehérváry replaced Nick Jensen on defense for the Capitals and tallied up his first NHL point, an assist, in a 7–2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers." Verified.
  • FN 16 cites "After his selection by the Capitals, Fehérváry was promptly signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with Washington on 1 July 2018." Verified.
  • FN 50 cites "After making his senior debut in 2018, Fehérváry returned to the world juniors stage for the 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships as team captain. He played on the first defensive pair for the entire tournament, which included spending time on the first power play unit. Fehérváry finished the tournament with one goal and four assists through five games played." I don't see support for "first defensive pair" or the tournament goal/assist numbers; am I missing something?
    • The source says Fehervary, the captain of Team Slovakia, notched five points (1g, 4a) in five games, which led Team Slovakia defensemen and it mentions he competed on the powerplay, which is something only top defencemen do. I will re-word it.
OK, I missed the goal/assist numbers, so that’s fine. I can imagine that the deduction you’re making is obvious to aficionados but I think it would be better to rephrase this to stick with what the source directly supports. • FN 44 cites "His play was recognized by hockey pundits as he was named to the NHL All-Rookie All-Star Team in January 2022." Verified.
  • FN 32 cites "Fehérváry was limited to just two playoff games as he was injured in Game 3 and deemed unfit for the remainder of the first round. The Capitals were eventually eliminated by the Islanders in Game 5 with a 4–0 loss." Verified.
  • FN 12 cites "During this time, he was also drafted by the HC Slovan Bratislava in the 2016 KHL Junior Draft but he chose to remain in the SHL." The machine translation for this is not easy to read. I can see it's about that draft, but can you point to where it says he chose to remain in the SHL?
  • FN 38 cites " He joined the Capitals for their preseason but suffered an injury in the 4–1 loss to the New Jersey Devils." Verified.

All that’s left now is the point up top about explaining “spent time on the team’s penalty kill and power play” a little better for non-fans, and the two points in the spotchecks under FN 12 and 50. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 22:43, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mike Christie, Will do! I also want to thank you for your endless patience. I am not usually this slow with GA reviews, I have been dealing with issues IRL which has put Wikipedia on the backburner. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:46, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
No problem! Real life has to take precedence. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 10:22, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

I see the two spotcheck issues have been addressed. Just "where he played against the other teams' best defencemen, and spent time playing on the teams' penalty kill and power play" left; it's not clear to a non-fan what this means. HickoryOughtShirt?4, since it was just that one phrase, I've cut it from the article and I'm going to pass this; I trust you to reinsert it with some appropriate clarification whenever you get time. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 11:07, 9 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
