Name
editI believe the airport's official name is Marsh Harbour International Airport.[1] This Bahamas Civil Aviation Department Air Accident Investigation & Prevention Unit report uses the name "Marsh Harbor, International Airport" with a comma in the middle.[2] The Bahamas Civil Aviation web site calls it "Marsh Harbour International".[3]
The airport also seems to be known as the "Leonard Thompson International Airport". That phrase gets 11,000 hits in Google. This article is not WP:RS but is dated Sep 11 2011 and says "Marsh Harbour International Airport(MHH) in the Bahamas is getting a brand new terminal and being renamed to Leonard M. Thompson International Airport." However, a recent Bahamas Press article dated May 30, 2014 is about "Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie led a ministerial delegation to Marsh Harbour Abaco on Wed 28th May to officially open the Marsh Harbour International Airport."
I suspect the new terminal building is the Leonard Thompson terminal but the airport will still be "Marsh Harbour International" --Marc Kupper|talk 03:46, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Or may be official name and common name problem . E.g. Leonardo da Vinci Airport verse "Rome–Fiumicino International Airport ". BTW, local construction contractor use "Marsh Harbour International Airport" [4] Matthew hk (talk) 16:39, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
