Talk:Maometto II

Title

We're calling the article 'Maometto II', but starting out the lede with 'Maometto secondo'. I think we need to make these consistent.

An Italian would look at 'Maometto II' and say "Maometto secondo", but an English speaker would say "Maometto the Second". This would be wrong; as wrong as saying, for example "Николай the Second", as distinct from "Николай Второй" (for Tsar Nicholas II).

If we're using the fully spelled out Italian title, it needs to be "Maometto secondo". -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 07:27, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Conflict of dates in the following passage

Consulting only Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies#1820 revolution, I suggest to change the wording to From early July 1820, various political upheavals … and By mid-1821late 1820, the political situation … – or to remove any reference to the political events altogether until a source is provided. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 05:34, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
