I started this article for the local people who live near the stream like me. I hope this page will help the volunteers, school kids and farmers with their restoration work and helping the environment. As the article says the water is of poor quality and needs improving.

Being near the stream I have been able to see daily parakeets, tuis and sometimes the New Zealand Kaka. 2 years ago you might only see 2 birds a year. Maybe the restoration is helping the trees grow better and produce more food for the birds. The best way to experience the stream is by kayaking.
