Talk:Man of La Mancha (film)

The comment in this article that Peter O'Toole's singing was dubbed in, while all the other actors did their own singing is inconsistent with the comment in the Julie Gregg article that says: "She was one of the few members of the film's cast who had a legitimate singing voice." Which is it? One of the articles should be fixed.

It's not contradictory. The cast was full of non-singers. One of them (O'Toole) was dubbed (though they took care (?) not to hire too good a voice for him), but other non-singers (e.g., Loren and Coco) were allowed to sing anyway. Additionally, a few supporting players who could sing did so. It's a hell of a way to film a great stage musical. WHPratt (talk) 15:41, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, I was bold and added references to the Dale Wasserman book the Impossible Musical because I had it in my hand (borrowed from the library). Before I added the references, I would have put the no references tab on the piece, but now that isn't quite right, although there is a lot of material here that would appear to me to need support by reference. Is there a not enough reference tag? (I couldn't find one). Also, I couldn't quickly figure out what to do with the 2 Internet references that were in the body of the article -- I made a reference but it sure looks funny. Any thoughts?
