¿Who deleted half of the history section?

edit

someone deleted a lot of history page and only ended it in the end of Book 2, whe should bring back Mai's important role in Book 3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.12.156.120 (talk) 15:57, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree and I brought it back. Some think that the relationship info is not important and have no effect on the plot. Unlike other relationships on the show, Mai relationship with Zuko does have a strong effect the plot. If Mai doesn't have special feelings for Zuko, she probably would not betray Azula, which would mean Ty Lee would not betray Azula, which would mean that Azula would not have become the mental wreck she became. I agree that for the most part relationship info aren't that important. This relationship though affected the plot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.95.137.48 (talk) 00:00, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

No it didn't. If Mai hadn't betrayed Azula, then Zuko wouldn't have accepted the Agni Kai. That's the only difference. Anything further is speculation. But even so, this article needs a total overhaul anyway. And to be honest, the subject probably can't support its own article. Rau's Speak Page 00:18, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

If Mai hadn't betrayed Azula, Zuko would be dead, she was all that kept the gondala from falling and you know, killing off Zuko, Sokka, Sukki, Sokkas dad, and the inmate with them. Thus, it's fairly important. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.58.192 (talk) 06:36, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's speculation that they wouldn't have survived the fall. And it would be a pretty bad design flaw if the gondola wasn't able to float. Rau's Speak Page 07:00, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I personally think this page should be deleted. Only major characters should have there own articles. She is by no means a major one. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 20:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree. But it was here, so I did a little work on it. Same with Ty Lee. Rau's Speak Page 22:21, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Even if Mais relationship wasn't important to the show, this page isn't about the show, it's about the character Mai, and the relationship was a very important thing about her character, not mentioning it is silly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.58.192 (talk) 00:11, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It really wasn't. It was a subplot. The only important part about it was that she liked Zuko. That's it. And it would be silly to mention that out of the blue. Rau's Speak Page 00:28, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I find it very weird that not much mention is made about her and Zuko, because it did affect the plot. It was not a minor subplot. She herself told Azula when she betrayed Azula "I love Zuko more than I fear you". Its almost like people are either afraid or uncomfortable to even talk about relationships. As for talking out of the blue about the relationship, from what I've seen several people had mentioned it in within the flow of the article before (which has since shrunk a lot), but for whatever reason it kept being deleted. If that many people want to keep adding the relationship info, maybe you should take that as a hint that a lot of people thought this was a very important part of Mai's character. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.2.60.95 (talk) 23:30, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I didn't say minor, it was a very prevelant subplot. And in the 1600's most of the world thought the earth was flat, they weren't right. Rau's Speak Page 00:19, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
If it is a subplot, the question then becomes is it worth mentioning. You yourself just said it was "a very prevalent subplot". A lot of people seem to think the relationship was important enough to be mentioned, then why not at least mention it? Oh and by the way, your analogy, though good, is a little off. Very few in those days traveled around the world so they did not know about the shape of the world, but a lot of people here have watched the whole show so they know what they're talking about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.2.60.95 (talk) 20:03, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Every single person in the show in the situation was sure that the gondala falling = the death of the people in it, including the people who worked at the prison, who would be the ones who know best.67.168.58.192 (talk) 05:35, 31 July 2008 (UTC)signedReply
Does it matter, consensus is against you on this. Rau's Speak Page 08:36, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

That Relationship

edit

OK, that relationship with Zuko is not so important (except that Mai ¡SAVED ZUKO, SOKKA, HAKODA, SUKI AND CHIT SANG FROM COOKING IN A BOILING LAKE! and also maked Azula a total nutso with her beyatral), but at least we should put it somewhere in the page, at least as a minor fact in Mai's character page.
