Disambig page not needed edit

I've redirected this page to gravity hill because this page lists articles about gravity hills-- which is the exact scope of the gravity hill article. The one exception being the song by the Candadian rock band. In cases like these, a disambiguation link is more appropriate than an entire disambig page. The {{otheruses4}} template was created for purposes exactly like these. Please read WP:D#Disambiguation links for further information. 04:50, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Belated step three attempt edit

Migrated and cropped from irrelevancy

I was assuming you thought the disambiguation page was a list of gravity/magnetic hills, instead of a list of articles called Magnetic Hill, but your recent creation of List of magnetic hills does appear somewhat pointy, given that the article's called Gravity hill and the category's called Category:Gravity hills, so the list should be called List of gravity hills.

Regarding your constant revertions to Magnetic Hill (disambiguation), why would someone searching for Magnetic Hill (Canada) find it helpful to be directed to a page listing hundreds of gravity hills? Disambiguation pages help readers find the article they are looking for, just because the disambiguation page contains articles that also happen to be gravity hills doesn't mean it should be redirected to the article about gravity hills. It would show some good faith on your part if you moved the list of magnetic hills back to the main article and tried bringing it up on the talk page, editors respond more favorably to major changes when they are discussed first (and WP:BOLD isn't an excuse here for not discussing first, because your changes were clearly going to be controversial considering your other recent edits). The creation of the List of magnetic hills article was not pointy. One should be more careful when assuming bad faith, especially when one hasn't attempted to discuss the issue. The list, admittly too long at the moment, doesn't belong in the gravity hill article. That article is about the illusion of gravity hills, not their locations. As for my reasoning on the redirecte, you can see my edit summaries. Feel free to specifically address them here. Although please don't dwindle on your previous misunderstandings for the purpose of derision. 23:07, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
