According to B-52 Stratofortress: On 16-18 January 1957, three B-52Bs made a nonstop flight around the world during Operation Power Flite, covering 24,325 miles (21,145 nm, 39,165 km) in 45 hours 19 minutes with several in-flight refuelings by KC-97s. The 93rd Bomb Wing received the Mackay Trophy for their accomplishment. But that is not noted here. Also this list seems a bit shot, at least compared to naa.aero —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.34.180.183 (talk) 01:11, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

Since Clarence Mackay, who donated the trophy, and his father John William Mackay spelled their names with a lower case "k", the trophy needs to be spelled with a lower case "k". The article was moved here from "MacKay Trophy", possibly because the National Air and Space Museum has the wrong spelling. The lettering on the trophy itself is all in capitals so it is ambiguous, but the National Aeronautic Association (see external link in article) has the correct capitalization.
