=McCrady Formation in SW VA

There is also a McCrady Formation in Southwest Virginia running from Saltville northeast to the end of Locust Cove It is sometimes spelled "MacCrady". It may be the same feature, but I'm under the impression that it's restricted to a very small stretch. The formation here is know for its gypsum deposits, mining thereof. That deposit is now played out, but has been used for gypsum production since the early 1800's
