Heavy POV and citations needed

edit

"The criminal behind MacTheRipper" should be rewritten. And citations are needed for the GPL violation allegations. 63.228.84.27 (talk) 22:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

the mac the ripper site has been unavailable for at least a week. have they been busted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cleobolus (talkcontribs) 16:03, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

apparently the site has been down for two years. the main place to download it from now is macupdate.com. someone should presumably remove the link to the official site from the article, since it is not functional. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cleobolus (talkcontribs) 20:56, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Edited the "official site" link to use the archive.org version from Aug 31 2007 which was the site's last update —DoRD (talk) 02:23, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

May 1, 2010 Anonymous editor (IP address posted) I noticed someone proposed this article for deletion in seven days, as described in "Wikipedia:Proposed deletion". Since I objected, because I believe this software to be well known and very notable I followed these instructions:

If any person objects to the deletion (usually by removing the

{{prod}}

tag), the proposal is aborted and may not be re-proposed.

According to what I understand, if anyone thinks this article should be deleted, they should create a discussion page where it can be discussed and debated. And before anyone asks, no, I have not previously edited or contributed here, I did what I thought was appropriate. I've thought about contributing, and I have read many of the policies, which I thought I should be familiar with first. If an administrator does not agree with what I did, and knows better, they should revert my change...

In sort, if did the the wrong thing, sorry. Oh well...—Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.247.227.233 (talkcontribs) 01:01, 2 May 2010

I would like this article to remain and I am willing to support it by updating it. Gus Calabrese Denver —Preceding unsigned comment added by Puppetboyx (talkcontribs) 15:19, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Version 4.0?"

edit

Everywhere I looked, Version 2.6.6 is the highest. Perhaps a citation for a 4.0 is needed. 24.48.160.108 (talk) 14:01, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I made this suggested edit as I also only find 2.6.6. JesseStu (talk) 15:47, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
