Kickstarter edit

The project seems to have brought in a surfeit of articles referring to MSPA! Let's try to hunt a few more of them down in the next few weeks. Hopefully this'll give the article its much-needed "notability". I was also pleased to note that PC World's article referenced the Newgrounds Crash - I think that that's the first time a reputable third-party source has done so. ashdenej 19:57, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wired and Kotaku have written articles on it. PBS has made a video about it. LenJates (talk) 21:36, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I know - I'm the one who edited those into the article, haha. As a further plus, Google News has started throwing up stuff under the "Homestuck" search string for the first time. Encouraging! ashdenej 21:48, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've definitely been keeping an eye out. You're just too fast with your ninja editing skills, Ashdenej. I don't have time to do anything. :( SilverserenC 04:26, 7 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hah, beat you to that one! SilverserenC 04:44, 7 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Split off Homestuck? edit

Should we split off Homestuck into its own article and just use a summary style paragraph here and link to it? There's more than enough references and we could definitely expand it to include information about the fandom and beyond that. SilverserenC 21:56, 2 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think that's a good idea. After all, most of the news articles are about Homestuck, not MSPA. Wehpudicabok (talk) 08:31, 4 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Seeing as we just got almost 2.5 million dollars on Kickstarter, I think it'd be handy if there was somewhere to link to directly. Wehbudicabok makes a good point, too. It really is heartening to see the articles that keep popping up - awfully researched ones notwithstanding. ashdenej 18:47, 4 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
It'd be cool to see that happen, but I worry about contested deletions. Mizusajt (talk) 17:47, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Only if you can find enough reliable sources discussing it to build a decent article. I think it's fine as it is, personally. What more is there to say that isn't in the article already? Robofish (talk) 23:31, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
More detailed plot synopsis, brief character list, a section on the varied stylistic approaches/history, and a reception section are how I would fill a whole article just for HS. Like what we see on other comics' pages (I'm thinking of Megatokyo particularly). I think we could probably get all of that from the sources we already have here, plus that interview Hussie did with Bryan Lee O'Malley. Wehpudicabok (talk) 03:46, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Though I think a character list would be kinda difficult beyond just the Beta kids, as I don't think many or any of the others have been really described in the news articles, sadly. SilverserenC 04:26, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
A lot of stuff, like what Wehpudicabok just listed, in addition to stuff about the fandom, which is not really represented in the article right now, but has been written about a lot in the news. Not to mention that since the end of the Kickstarter, there's been four more news articles written about Homestuck, including a ridiculously in-depth and long one by the creator of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, also mentioned by Wehpudicabok, wherein O'Malley describes Homestuck and also has an interview with Hussie. • Okay, split has been enacted. We still need to change the wording in the Homestuck paragraph here so it doesn't duplicate the wording in the separate Homestuck article. But other than that, we're good. SilverserenC 19:55, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Constants/possible vandalism and possible unknown vandalism... — 2601:183:4000:D5BD:4DF6:4958:91E:FD70 (talk) 18:31, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not done - that is not a semi protected edit request - requests for protection should be made at WP:RPP - Arjayay (talk) 18:34, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
However, as I do not see any vandalism for over 4 months, they won't protect the page in any case. - Arjayay (talk) 18:38, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
