References Needed

edit

I am new to wikipedia and this is my first article. It may not be perfect, but I hope that all the dedicated wikipedia users that sacrifice their time to help wikipedia grow will help improve and add any neccesary changes. Any citations needed may be found at the school's website. http://www.mmiprep.org/home.shtml Any images may also be found at the given address.

So, I'm guilty of the same thing, in that my changes were mostly from a former version of the website. However, I believe Wikipedia rules require references from outside sources.24.235.71.134 03:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

potential references

edit

I'm feeling lazy, but the following links supply quite a bit of information concerning the Coxe family's involvement with MMI.24.235.71.134 04:14, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notes of Concern

edit

I go to MMI; the average class size is around 20, not 30 (although many new kids from Bishop Hafey are coming in next year, so it'll probably change)70.44.146.95 19:28, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Trogdor12345Reply

According to the website, the average class size currently is 30. My graduating class and the one after me actually had 40+ students, though most had more like 10-20. 24.235.71.134 03:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's really no reason to list the current Board of Directors.. 24.235.71.134 04:30, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

TODO

edit

I fleshed out some of the details, but we'll need to find references for some of it (much of it was paraphrased from the old MMI website), and I think it also needs to be subcategory-ized.. like a section about the building itself (if anyone actually cares? I don't know, I think it's interesting, but then I was a student there for six years!). 24.235.71.134 03:31, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, I think it would be nice to have a section written up about the scholarships that are offered to students, and especially the work study program.24.235.71.134 03:58, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm looking at the Collaborations page for schools, and it agrees that things should be separated into "history" and "building". Also maybe there should be sections that focus on things like the curriculum, activities/athletics, traditions. (Explain things about the main academic tracks, certain classes (like that we require Latin, and I only just discovered that not all schools *require* computer science like MMI does, etc). Also the required Friday afternoon clubs, and other ongoing organizations. And of course, there are traditions like Freshmen Initiation, Senior Auction, various pride events and so on.) Right now, it's very, well.. boring. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if we have any notable alumni or instructors. However, they do suggest that a list of presidents is ok, especially if there's anything special about what they accomplished while they were there. Also why don't we have a picture? 24.235.71.134 04:30, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know how to add pics. By the way I'm the original author of this article. Go me! —Preceding unsigned comment added by PonileExpress (talkcontribs) 08:08, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

On the left under "toolbox" there's an "upload file" link. Click that and follow the instructions to upload a picture. To add a picture to an article: [[Image:example.jpg|size: ex: 200px|position on page (left, center, right)|caption here]] Also, don't forget to sign your posts using four tildes like this: ~~~~ Thanks for creating the article! Curriculum and Athletics

edit

The Curriculum and Athletics sections of this article seem to be lacking. If anyone has any information they could put into these sections, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Matt18224 (talk) 15:29, 15 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
