Talk:Lung cavity

This article was formerly a disambiguation page. I decided to move the content from lung cavitary lesion to lung cavity because there is no single agreed-upon term for this medical condition in recent, high-quality, English-language medical sources (see WP:MEDTITLE). As you can see in the review articles on this topic (listed as sources at the bottom of the article), names include pulmonary cavities, cavity lung lesions, cavitary lung disease, and cavitary pulmonary disease. Thus, I chose lung cavity as the title, following WP:CRITERIA for article titles. Two of the criteria are:

Recognizability – The title is a name or description of the subject that someone familiar with, although not necessarily an expert in, the subject area will recognize.
Naturalness – The title is one that readers are likely to look or search for and that editors would naturally use to link to the article from other articles. Such a title usually conveys what the subject is actually called in English.

I felt that this title would be the most helpful to the general reader looking for information on this topic. AmericanLemming (talk) 00:52, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
