English name

"Lumineon"

Even if Lumineon will be the official English name for this Pokémon, we can't post that here unless we have an official source of credability directly from Pokémon USA or Nintendo. Despite past accuracy by Serebii.net at posting the names of Pokémon, unless you can get an official source for them or find one on your own, no information about any Pokémon name that is retrieved from Serebii.net can be verified officially and therefore violates WP:ATT and is not valid on this article. If you have any official proof from one of these companies, then give a link in your edit summary or as a reference in the article to show that Pokémon USA or Nintendo has officially given Lumineon as the official name for Neorant. So does that mean that there is a source that has Lumineon as the official name? I like the name actually, but still without an official source we can't really put it. Serebii and PokéExperto have reported it, but Serebii cites no source and I doubt Experto does. (One of the main reasons we've approved those other rect names is because they showed up at reputable places—Toy Fair, Developer's Conference etc)—ウルタプ 03:44, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Interesting how www.Pokexperto.com looks similar to the format of www.serebii.net. In fact, the first line of http://www.pokexperto.net/index2.php says that the page is in collaboration with http://www.serebii.net/, meaning that they share information with one another, however in different languages (or at least that's what I think it means). Pokéxperto is like the Spanish Serebii.net. Since Serebii.net isn't an official Pokémon site, and Pokéxperto is similar in context and is linked to Serebii.net, it isn't credible either. Therefore, no information on either of these two sites is reliable unless Pokémon USA has officially made an announcement on the subject in question. If you discover a new Pokémon name on either of these two sites, you can't list that as your source. You must get an official site close to Pokémon to verify any English Pokémon names and cite that in your edit summary. Ksy92003 05:18, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Serebii.net

This is just another short note, related to the above discussion regarding http://www.pokexperto.net. The site currently says "Once again in collaboration with Pokéxperto." Even more proof that these two sites are working together and neither of them are reliable. Ksy92003 23:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

According to serebii.net, the two sites had a 'name war', where serebii was witholding some of the released names and Pokexperto was revealing them more readily. Then, the two decided to work together. It's not as though there's any suspicion here; the two openly admit that they are 'partners'. As to their reliability, I as a person find serebii.net reliable (I use their information for some of the games), but as it does not fit Wikipedia's guidelines, the 'unconfirmed' English name probably shouldn't be used.
