"Thus the notion of ‘logosphere’ refers to the fact that we both recognize and understand the recurring elements in speech (or, ’language’) on the one hand, and assign meanings to the unrepeatable and unique utterance, on the other hand. Bakhtin (1986: 134) argues that elements of speech are experienced in two ways: through the repeatability of the language and the unrepeatability (uniqueness) of the utterance. Thus it is through actual utterances that language participates in the historical unrepeatability and in the never-ending, unfinalized totality of the logosphere (Bakhtin 1986: 134)." I tried to summarize this in a defininition in the article, and I think it's a general communication term, so I've moved it to that category. I don't know the uses of this term, nor am I sure I summarized accurately, so please edit away! --Busy Stubber (talk) 16:10, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Logosphere was first seen on the internet in 1997 as logosphere.com, the home page of a few information enthusiasts who founded a consulting firm to further the flow of information within companies and organizations.

No citation, and I doubt the concept had never been seen on the Internet as of 1997. Even if it hadn't, the first reference to it on the Internet seems extraneous. Twin Bird (talk) 06:04, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
