Universities

edit

No, no, no. I had the same discussion on the German Wikipedia some 2 years ago: There are TWO universities in Namibia: UNAM and IUM. Polytechnic is not a university, the Colleges of Education are now part of UNAM (and have never been universities), and the rest are backyard teaching shacks that are in no way notable. What this article should be is a list of institutes of tertiary education in Namibia. The title can remain because there is a template listing this topic. But the Bema, IIT, Monitronix, Brilliant, and Success types of "colleges and universities" should not be there. By the way, every list item should be referenced, and their own websites are not acceptable sources to do that. --Pgallert (talk) 17:57, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Again, the backyard teaching mills are not universities, no matter how often they say so. They also should not be redlinked as they are not conforming to the notability guidelines. --Pgallert (talk) 08:57, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
