Can 35 cal. Welling rounds work a 35 cal. Marlin Rifle edit

I have a 35 cal. Marlin Rifle. I was hoping to see if the Welling round would work with it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew9669 (talkcontribs) 17:36, 15 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I propose merging the common centerfire and uncommon, obscure, proprietary sections into a single "Centerfire" section. Currently there are no defined criteria for inclusion in either list and there are a large number of obscure and/or uncommon cartidges in the former. Proposal to remove redlinks edit

I propose we remove all redlinks and un-linked cartridges. If the cartridge has an independent page it can be presumed to be WP:Verifable. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 01:14, 13 October 2018 (UTC).Reply

Addition of redlinks edit

Hello FuuMasta (talk · contribs), can I request that you read WP:REDLINKS? It states redlinks are “for subjects that should have articles but do not”, in other words subjects that meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. WP:GNG states a topic is notable if it “has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article...”

Of the redlinks you keep reintroducing, I can only find reliable sources independent of the subject for the .458 HAM'R. Please either create these articles or present multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject here for each of these cartridges. Otherwise they will be removed again. Further, I have just created .458 HAM'R. Cavalryman (talk) 10:43, 13 September 2020 (UTC).Reply

Hello Cavalryman (talk · contribs), In the event that you undo my edit again, just be carefull to not undo the fix in the sorting of the cartridges. Furthermore, I have in introduced .375 SOCOM, wich already have a perfect Article but wasn't included in the list. Other cartridges like .375 Raptor now have an article that will be improved over the next days and weeks and the .460 Steyr have a huge follow up in some countries and documentation is available in other language.

Also, I have no doutbt that it will that very little time make with the good editors to gather the documentation for the remaining cartridges and I have an idea to include them elsewhere if ever i'm wrong about that.

FuuMasta, if a topic does not meet Wikipedia’s policies about notablity it shouldn’t be included anywhere on Wikipedia. Further, can I suggest you familiarise yourself with WP:Reliable sources, we also have policies about what sources can be used here. I take it from your response above that you do not object to the removal of the remaining redlinks. Cavalryman (talk) 23:08, 13 September 2020 (UTC).Reply
FuuMasta, I see you are planning to create a List of wildcats cartridges, I would advise against doing that as such a list is an unnecessary content fork of this list, if a wildcat cartridge is notable it should be included here. Further, you will need some very good sources that describe every single cartridge included in that list as a wildcat, please read WP:NOR, just because you know about something, if you cannot cite information to WP:Verifiable reliable sources it cannot be included on Wikipedia. Cavalryman (talk · contribs), I will not create that list in that case. Also, I would really appreciate if WP:WIP and WP:PERFECTION policies could be concepts applied on my Articles like .375 Raptor, .460 Steyr and future one. You rebuke me because i've use blogs article, yet this exact reference is fine ont the German Wikipedia. Even the very short .458 HAM'R stub that you created contain that kind of sourcing. I would appreciate that you help me improving them instead of killing my attempt to make a good article. FuuMasta (talk) 03:05, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

FuuMasta, I am not seeking perfection, I am independently attempting to find sources that establish the notability of these cartridges and am coming up empty. I am unsure what German Wikipedia allow but here we are quite clear and I reject completely that I have used blog posts for the .458 HAM'R, all three articles were written by named staff writers for all three publications, again you will see for the article’s brevity I am not seeking perfection, just notability, others are most welcome to expand upon those minimum requirements. I see you have removed the PROD tag from .460 Steyr but not included multiple reliable sources, if they cannot be found then the article will need to be nominated for deletion again.
