Taxonomy: For all marine species, Project Gastropods uses the taxonomy in the online database WoRMS. When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Hi, a section was recently blanked by an unregistred user and also doesn't follow the bold title rule. Other confirmed users opinion required, Regards CocoricoPolynesien (talk) 14:32, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
I asked you several times: what is the title of the article? As for the section I removed, it had no value. If you disagree, kindly explain what value you found in it. 46.208.236.175 (talk) 14:51, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Title is List of non-marine molluscs of the Gambier Islands that appears in for the first time in the article at sentence 1. "On Wikipedia, the names of an article's subject are written in bold when they are first mentioned in the article.". CocoricoPolynesien (talk) 14:56, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well done, you finally correctly stated the title. And then somehow you still couldn't comprehend that that text did not appear in the first sentence. Being unable to comprehend such simple rules as not boldfacing text which isn't the article's title is one thing; taking it upon yourself to aggressively apply your serious misunderstanding is quite another. If you are not capable of understanding simple style rules, you are not likely to be able to contribute productively to this encyclopaedia. 46.208.236.175 (talk) 15:02, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
1 - Stop being condescending. 2 - Sentence number 1 :The non-marine molluscs of the Gambier Islands are a part of the molluscan fauna of French Polynesia. - You are trolling. CocoricoPolynesien (talk) 15:06, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Somehow, you are still not getting it. Compare the article title, and the text that was in bold. Are they the same, or are they different? 46.208.236.175 (talk) 16:51, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oh dear! Try again. Try writing them both out, one above the other, and comparing them. It is not hard; it's baffling indeed that you're struggling with this. 46.208.236.175 (talk) 16:59, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Did you consider the fact that people might want to know about the current status of non-marine bivalves in this area ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CocoricoPolynesien (talk • contribs) 15:00, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Exactly what did the article tell them about that? 46.208.236.175 (talk) 15:02, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
That their status is unknown, which is an information. CocoricoPolynesien (talk) 15:06, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Stating that there is no information is not information. We add verifiable information to articles, not pointless statements that no information is available; such statements are, indeed, useless. Also, "information" is not a countable noun. In English, you cannot say "an information". 46.208.236.175 (talk) 16:51, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps you can identify the reliable source that such a statement could be verified with, if you seriously believe it to be useful and encyclopaedic.46.208.236.175 (talk) 17:00, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
