Vandalism?

Someone has assigned abilities to every individual who did not have an explicit ability, but I see no attribution and I don't remember when these were discussed. I thought I'd check before deleting them to see whether they'd been revealed somewhere I wasn't aware of. The fact that the spelling is poor and every character without powers has been altered makes me suspect vandalism. -- Balok 01:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Lewis Mesirow (Chris Davis)

If and when Chris Davis (actor) ever gets a page, make sure it's the right one. This Chris Davis (IMDB's Chris Davis (XIII))[1] only has this episode and a one time role of "Crotchety Man" to his credit. There's 39 Chris or Christopher Davises in IMDB, including 9 actors, including a Christopher Davis (I) [2], who has ten acting credits. Travisl 23:05, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

minor characters, recurring characters...

When this page was started I was under the impression that it was for listing 4400s only. Obviously that was a misunderstanding as the page didn't say that, maybe it was the fact the lists are numbered where they would normally be bulleted, and that implied counting how many The 4400 has been introduced on the show. Anyway, surely one page, List of The 4400 characters, would be enough? At the moment we have characters like Tom Baldwin with their own page, ones like April Skouris with a section of a page, and ones like Olivia Germaine, who get a row in a list of names. -- Chuq 10:01, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Me and Travis talked about this. Minors are: 4400s of the week, one/two appearance characters. Recurring are characters with a couple of episodes under there belt and a prominent story line (ie. april & ben arc for April) and main characters each get there own page (Tom, Diana et cetera) exceptions are made in the case of Tess etc as she is better suited to her own page and liekly more will be added when shes in future episodes, and Marco et cetera. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 10:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

I concur, although I wonder if Matthew Ross, Nikki Hudson, and Danny Farrell should be moved off of The 4400 to Recurring. It would probably be helpful if we came up with a set of guidelines for categorization. Travisl 18:08, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

And they'd need to be flexible enough so that Wendy Paulson (Lexa Doig) (Kyle's teacher -- the one who he scares by waking up in her hallway) is a minor character, not recurring, even though she was in Hidden, As Fate Would Have It, Weight of the World, and Voices Carry. I guess my point wasn't "how do we differentiate main/recurring/minor" but "why are there separate pages to start with". Just list them all on one page, write what we know about each character, and when the section gets too big, split it off to its own page. -- Chuq 07:25, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Boyd Gelder's ability

I have a question. In the season 3 finale, we see Gelder through a security camera as himself, even though he's posing as Dennis Ryland. Therefore, would his ability not be shapeshifting, but something more mind-related? Somehow convincing people that he is actually the person he's impersonating? I've figured he's kind of like The Shadow, with the power to cloud men's minds. "Cranston then learned how to confuse and control the minds of others, particularly how to become invisible except for his shadow." Possible overhaul?

I'd like to recommend a big overhaul on this list, preferably something similar to List of minor Star Wars characters. This would allow links to the characters' listings from other articles (I think they call them "anchor" links). The whole article as it stands is, I think, hard to navigate through, so I'd also recommend alphabetical order for characters. Maybe also a list of appearances for each character and more context about those appearances, when possible. I think it's especially useful for more important characters like TJ Kim or Gary Navarro that don't quite require their own full article. Thoughts? --Midnightdreary 00:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't like the thought of turning the page into a mess like the Star Wars one. As it stands I believe the page is cleanly structured (needs some tweaks, though, now season four has started). Anything else would be taking the page too far, and it'd probably be full of fluff. Matthew 13:43, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

LoL... well, I disagree 100%. This is one of the worst "list" articles I've ever seen. I find it completely impossible to navigate and ultimately useless. Not sure how the Star Wars list is a "mess." You can actually link to those character listings that way. I noticed while working on the Dennis Ryland article, for example, that I mentioned T.J. Kim and Dave Navarro but was completely unable to allow a user to click on those names and find out more about them (well, they can link to a season number and scroll through the randomly ordered list until they recognize the name). Maybe as a related question... why order it by season? What's the logic there? --Midnightdreary 14:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Edwin

His portion of the article says that he died within a year. Where this piece of information comes from? The show has never stated that he died, it only said he'd keep healing until he died. Though it's speculative, there are two simple ways that he could've remained alive: He could have Shawn to heal him when he became too weak or after being taken off the inhibitor, he wouldn't take the damage he heals into himself.
