Talk:List of highways in the Northern Territory

Which do you prefer?

edit

I have created the highways in importance of their highway status, and their route number. Little emphasis was put on street names, even if they were duplicated and hyperlinked on the same page. Apparently User:Bidgee has a problem with this, and I would like feedback on this page as to which looks smarter and easier to read.

Here are the options:

Option 1

OR

Option 2

Also view List of highways in Tasmania, and look at the National Route 1, Bass Highway, and A2 Bass Highway status to see that an emphasis was put on route numbers, as oppose to the name of the highway, as to which inspired me to change each Listing of highways in Australia, to this conventional format, as it is not only easier to read, but better to comprehend, and note the importance of the highways and their route markers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rom rulz424 (talkcontribs) 07:59, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Missing Roads/Highways

edit

I think that following roads or highways are missing:

  •   Namatjira Drive from Larapinta Drive through the Western MacDonnell Ranges back to Hermannsburg
  •   Tanami Track (not missing, but has a highway number)
  •   Larapinta Drive from Alice Springs to Hermannsburg.
  •   Ross Highway from Alice Springs to Ross River Homestead.
  •   Dorat Road alternative route to Stuart Highway.
  •   Mainoru Road from south Katherine to Arnhem Land.
  •   Daly River Road from Dorat Road to Daly River.
  •   Wadeye Road from Daly River to Wadeye.

I don"t know wheter they are highways or Outback Tracks, but at least the Ross Highway is a sealed road, which the Plenty or Sandover Hwy isn't. Regards, Wiesel 150.101.251.36 (talk) 03:30, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
