I created this article in the hope that ex-employees will document the history of these companies before they are long forgotten. Dyl 06:09, Aug 17, 2004 (UTC)

Restructuring edit

This is a solid list, but I think it could go one better if it dropped the "defunct" part and just included a list of all companies past and present (because, presently, there aren't a whole lot of graphics hardware companies anyway). This list can be rearranged as a table, and the status of each company listed as active or defunct or other. Ham Pastrami (talk) 07:41, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Title should refer to the PC platform. edit

There were many many graphics chips and cards that are now defunct that were not developed or used on the pc platform. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.87.238.229 (talk) 22:16, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

What about Amiga's graphics co-processor, Denise and Atari's ANTIC edit

Since there are references to Macintosh chips/cards, why not on other platforms also like the aforementioned.
