Hey, nice article. Keep up the good work. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 23:17, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I didn't see your comments until today. I just need to find some categories to add this to. Alienturnedhuman 23:20, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Buildings left to be added edit

There are many buildings I would like to add but as of yet have not had the time to research/know enough to add. Alienturnedhuman (talk) 22:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC) I'm going through them as best I can on my own.Greenpenwriter (talk) 21:44, 26 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Churches edit

Historical Buildings edit

Schools and Colleges edit

This page could expanded to include educational facilities, particularly: K.E.S., Springwood, The Park and The College of West Anglia

Great care should be exercised when photographing educational establishments or you could be in a lot of trouble. How do I know, I have spent the last twenty one years visiting schools daily in the course of my work.Greenpenwriter (talk) 13:41, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Weasel Words tag edit

You say some words 'make you cringe' - could you please be a little more specific? Alienturnedhuman 20:07, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Post Office edit

I thought I'd add this section as locals may now know that the central Post Office on Baxter's Plain closed it's doors to public use on 31st September. If anyone can add to this section I'd be most grateful. Istabo 20:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC) JPG of old post office added 25 Jan 2012 Greenpenwriter (talk) 19:21, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Industrial Buildings edit

It seemed strange having the shopping centre grouped in with the power station and the docks, and the Post Office in with the old buildings. I have therefore created an industrial buildings section, so the Modern Buildings section can cover buildings in the town centre. Alienturnedhuman (talk) 14:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hanseatic warehouses in Lynn edit

Hanseatic Warehouse

It would be nice to have pictures taken to illustrate the article and Steelyard, Hanseatic League. Copied from King's Lynn mainpage discussion--Kresspahl (talk) 17:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Here is a photograph of the warehouse, I will add it to the article later. Alienturnedhuman (talk) 17:15, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I have now added the section for the Hanseatic Warehouse Alienturnedhuman (talk) 22:18, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I already added the picture to the Hanseatic League article.--Kresspahl (talk) 23:32, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem, glad to help. Alienturnedhuman (talk) 00:37, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gaywood clock edit

I will try and do Gaywood clock and almshouses everybody forgets about. I've added The Valiant Sailor and Clifton house tower pics. I've also edited some of the typos for the Green Quay. The picture I took is naff so I will get another one done. Is anybody still interested? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greenpenwriter (talkcontribs) 16:27, 23 January 2012 (UTC) (Greenpenwriter (talk) 16:29, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Jewish cemetery edit

Is a picture of the Jewish cemetery acceptable?Greenpenwriter (talk) 19:23, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Is anyone here still remotely interested in this list? (Greenpenwriter (talk) 13:42, 26 January 2012 (UTC) I rest my case. It seems that, as the only interested party, I have a free hand to do more or less whatever I like.Greenpenwriter (talk) 15:54, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

St James's car park edit

The JPG I added of the car park looks blurred because of the action of the fins in the wind on the day I took it in case anybody wondered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greenpenwriter (talkcontribs) 15:25, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Custom house edit

I've replaced the custom house jpg for another that's not in shadow. Feel free to revert if you disagreeGreenpenwriter (talk) 20:17, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

You've done a great job adding to all the photos on this page however the photo you added of the Customs House was not ideal as the statue of Captain Vancouver was obscuring themain focus of the picture, the Custom House itself. I have changed to a different picture, better than the original that was on the page, that is well lit and not in shadow and taken on a glorious day! Alienturnedhuman (talk) 19:57, 29 February 2012 (UTC) I think that perhaps you took some of your photographs at the wrong time of the day when the shadows obscured what otherwise would probably have been good shots. I take your point about the custom house. Wondering whether it would be worth taking some close ups of Kings Charles as well? And perhaps one of captain Vancouver himself? I think I caught Demeter just right, with the seagull perched on her head. I have taken a better shot of the exorcist's house. What do you think?Greenpenwriter (talk) 21:40, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kontor edit

It does seem that the term Kontor is used for the Hanseatic trading building in Kings Lynn. The previous (blogspot) source wasn't acceptable, but it's called that in the following sources:
