What gives? edit
The sad thing about most of the articles on big bands here on Wikipedia is that when a link actually works then half the time it redirects to the bandleader. This is pathetic. Look how much work is left to be done! I think there are some Wikipedians who have had a very narrow vision when covering the jazz medium. We really could use more articles on ensembles so when we say that an individual has played with someone, the reader has further context. (Mind meal 11:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC))
- You are quite right. Has the situation improved since 2007? I am about to add a band to this list, but it will be just what you complain about, a redirect to the band leader. I don't know enough to make a separation in this particular case, but at least some of the biggest big bands continued after the initial bandleader died or retired, so there should be at least some band articles.--DThomsen8 (talk) 14:32, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
