Once again this is only about U.S. Immigration law, something that is not clear from the name. Also the page History of US immigration should redirect here.

Why has this not been merged? edit
I notice there is a suggestion to merge this with this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_immigration_laws, which I agree with. I am a new user so I don't know how to merge, but I suspect that even if I did, I wouldn't have the privileges to do so. Why hasn't this article been merged? Can someone please provide guidance?
