Kittan
editKittan is currently both on the primary and secondary characters page. I'm deleting him from primary for now, because my gut feeling he fits in better with the secondary list, however it can always be restored later and remove from secondary instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.40.186.235 (talk) 08:00, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Names of Characters and Villages
editSorry. I just had to put these here.
http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=scandf8.jpg - In this scan, there is a cover for the first volume of the manga (which has been running in Dengeki Comic Gao for some time now) and there's English text on it that spells the name of Simon and Kamina's village as "Giha".
http://img300.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rittonarexampleyn3.jpg - Fans have been able to but haven't finished putting together the alphabet present in the Gurren-Lagann series. However, even with this slight lack of knowledge, we are still quite able to read a sash that Yoko was wearing in episode 26 in a fantasy where she was "Miss Rittonar". Indeed, the sash reads that, and from that we can get that "Rittonar" is the official English spelling of リットナー. It's also apparent that this one works better than "Ritona", as Ritona would work better for リトナ.
There you have it, the names of the villages are infact officially "Giha" and "Rittonar".
On a sidenote, I'll be putting this same message in the talk pages for the main article and secondary character pages, and I will be correcting the names. Just a note, that the names of the characters are written in Western order, and Simon and Yoko don't have last names. Neither would Kamina for that matter, as he died before anybody took up village names as last names. Robtf 09:19, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Humanoid Boota
editI don't think it actually happened in reality. This article mentions he "curiously returned to mole-pig form after", but I don't think he ever changed. It was just one of those alternate universes created in his mind by the anti-spirals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.106.163.33 (talk) 22:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- While this is possible, it is never overtly stated, and should be left out of the article, especially since the anti-spiral's explanation of this phenomenon can also be taken to mean that had Boota not done this, he couldn't have been trapped in the illusion. There is no solid word for either possibility, and thus it should be left out of the article. -- Digital Watches! 19:24, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Dai-Gurren Team cropped.jpg
editImage:Dai-Gurren Team cropped.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Viral - Shark?
edit"He is a shark Beastman". Shark? Where did that come from? If anything, he's some kind of wolf Beastman. Any particular reason for this? Cicaneo 11:41, November 12 2007 (UTC)
- It was confirmed in an interview with the directors at an "Anime Style Event" where questions about the show were answered. To be specific, they said he was a "shark with feline genetics". kittan + Yoko
editI have added something about kittan + yoko in the yoko section. I need full conformation if yoko had feelings for kittan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kittan (talk • contribs) 21:57, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Ages
editWhere did the ages come from? If they are not cited, they should be removed.99.139.209.103 (talk) 02:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- i totally agree with this, i mean yoko is AROUND not the SAME age as simon —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.146.79.183 (talk) 04:52, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

yoko lastname
editI find is weir that when I went Michelle Ruff's wikipage that it says "Yoko Ritona" instead of Litner, is something wrong here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonmaster88 (talk • contribs) 01:34, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yoko's last name in the dub is most definitely "Littner". Michelle's page needs to be updated. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 17:35, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
yoko
editThe section for yoko seems too small compared to others, someone should do something about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.220.87.152 (talk) 01:08, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Spelling
editUnder the character pages, the Mechanical weapons used to fight are spelled "Gunmen" however the translated Japanese spelling is "Ganmen," which is also the way it is pronounced. I'm changing it.
- The official English spelling is "gunmen", and changing it to "ganmen" has been reverted as vandalism in the past. 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 22:23, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Four Generals' names
editAdiane is a marine specialist, named after a water elemental, and Guame is a ground specialist, named after an earth elemental. That makes sense. So why is the air-specialist Cytomander named after a fire elemental (salamander) and the firepower specialist (Thymilph) named after an air elemental (silph)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.85.152 (talk) 17:20, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
