Jama Williamson

edit

As we know, Jama Williamson is a main character in season two; however, for some reason, there isn't a clip of her featured in the opening sequence with her name—doesn't even look like they remade the opening sequence and they're still using the one from the first season—instead, there is a "Starring" credit as the very first credit when the episode resumes after the opening sequence. Should we include this in the episode summary, similar to what we did with Corey's "Also Starring" in Girl Meets World's first season, or not? Mentioning my friends and colleagues: Geraldo Perez, MPFitz1968, IJBall, and Nyuszika7H. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:06, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

She got a "Starring" credit starting in the first ep of season 2 but we can't know until a few more episodes air if this is how things will normally remain. I suggest treating it as if she were in the opening credit sequence for now until we see what happens in later episodes. Geraldo Perez (talk) 02:30, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Guest cast character names

edit

As I said at User talk:Nyuszika7H#Nickelodeon guest stars again!, if the character names aren't listed in the credits that they need to be listed parenthetically. The way they are listed now – it implies they are from the credits. They aren't – they need to be included parenthetically to make it clear that they aren't from the credits... --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:51, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

There are hidden notes in place for this reason. Parenthetical in this case would look ugly. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:57, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Parentheticals should be used when there's a reason to use them. This is exactly a scenario in which their use makes sense. Again, if the character names aren't in the credits, then we can't treat this show's article like the TV show articles in which the character names are in the credits. --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:02, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Life would be so much easier if Nickelodeon—or, rather, the shows—included the actors' roles in their guest star credits, but they don't. Disney Channel's shows do. Amaury (talk | contribs) 03:10, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Oh, agreed. But the issue here is that WP:PRIMARY doesn't apply in the case of the character names for these TV series. So we can't treat this like we do at those TV show articles where the character names are listed in the end-credits. We need to come up with a "system" for these kinds of TV shows. I suggest two things: 1) A 'note' at the top of the 'Episodes' section which lets readers know that character names are not included in the episode credits, and 2) that character names either be not listed, or be listed parenthetically after the actors' names. The 'hidden note' thing only works for editors, not readers, so it's definitely not enough of a solution... --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:45, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

As the show REALLY ended

edit

As of now people are saying the show ended and some are saying the show isnt I think you guys are saying is that it may move to another network Brownspoof (talk) 00:02, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there is a chance that the production company may successfully "shop" the series to another outlet. (FTR, I think the odds of that happening are very small. But they are non-zero...) --IJBall (contribstalk) 00:51, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
If Girl Meets World, a more popular series, couldn't do it, chances are indeed slim for School of Rock. (Not that it isn't good or popular, but Girl Meets World was a pretty huge deal.) But anything is possible. It's also a different series from a different company, so I guess we'll see what happens. If it does happen, it may likely be on Paramount Network, which was formerly Spike.
