Akron, OH edit

Someone put up that it was named from Greek. I understand that that is what the founder of the village said himself, though there is still the other city of Akron, NY, which the Seneca gave a name to & I'd like to definitively settle whether they gave a new to a pre-existing place that sounded similar or vice versa so we can better determine if the founder of Akron, OH was telling the truth or he made the Greek connection up. If Akron, NY existed first, he clearly got the name from there. If he wanted to call it Akros, he could've just named it Akros, OH. Bobbotronica (talk) 17:12, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
