Macarena versions. edit

Macarena is only listed once, despite 4 different versions of the song charting on the Hot 100.

  • "Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)" by Los Del Rio the most popular version of Macarena, debuted in September of 1995.
  • "Macarena" by Los Del *Mar* was a cover that devuted in June of 1996. I can that "La Bamba" is listed twice (Ritchie Valens and Los Lobos versions) so I don't see why this isn't listed as well.
  • "Macarena" by Los Del Rio debuted for the first time in July of 1996. This is the original version of the song before Bayside Boys remixed it. It ran concurrently with the popular Bayside Boys remix for 21 weeks. On most occasions, Billboard conbines remixes into the same entry with the original song. But this is a case where they did not, and I think the article should reflect that.
  • Lastly, "Macarena Christmas" by Los Del Rio debuted in December of 1996.

If concensus decides that these songs don't belong on the list for whatever reason, I think that there should at least be something added onto the notes of the article. Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 19:38, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
