Total Appearances

edit

Was adding the Northern Ireland player, Billy McKay when I noticed the page needed a bit of updating. I removed the bold typeface from players no longer at the club and ammended the dates, accordingly. However, I noticed on the edit page an instruction to only include league appearances but not to add substitute appearances. I've checked a few players stats at random and they are for the most part accurate - except that most of the appearance figures seem to include substitute appearances also. I personally don't have a problem with that. Would be a big job to revise it all! That said, this page shouldn't need much updating - there are only 2 active players on the list. Incidentally, the Official club website's stats are considerably out of date. I think the club historian retired and the statistics have fallen by the wayside. For me, Soccerbase is my reference source of choice. Woodlandscaley (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:19, 7 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Don Cowie

edit

Should Don Cowie be on the list? Inverness born, he played for his home team in the 'SPL' (as known then) and also played for Scotland - but that was after leaving Inverness. If the criteria are as such, then he can't get in - ironic as an Invernessian!Woodlandscaley (talk) 21:29, 27 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Jonny Hayes

edit

Another possible addition to the list could be Jonny Hayes who appeared over 100 times for Inverness in total - although that figure includes cup games. Woodlandscaley (talk) 01:04, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Craig Dargo

edit

If the criteria for entry into the list is ever changed, another possible player for inclusion could be Craig Dargo. He's twice been ICT's leading scorer - and those seasons were in the SPL. Woodlandscaley (talk) 15:17, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Liam Keogh

edit

Similarly, Keogh amassed 102 total caps (86 league appearances) and it most often remembered for a crucial goal during ICTs march to their debut season in the SPL. Woodlandscaley (talk) 03:39, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

James Vincent (footballer)

edit

Although, at this time, well short of 100 league caps, perhaps could be considered for inclusion due to scoring the winning goal in the Scottish Cup final. Indeed, there could be an argument for including all of the Cup-winning squad.

Would it be worthwhile to shut this article down seeing as it's essentially been rendered obsolete by the List of Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. records and statistics page which covers everything thats already in this article, and more? POTH94 (talk) 17:30, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
