Nurse Rosie Riviera and Nurse Anya Barowski: spelling edit

I've just noticed that these characters' names have been spelt differently in the online credits a few times. Rosie is in two episodes, one as Rosie Riviera and one as Rosie Rivera. Anya's name is spelt Barowski 4 times and Borowski 7 times. Rosie's episodes and Anya's first 4 episodes are no longer on iPlayer so I can't check the closing credits to see how they went out on screen. I checked the 4 iPlayer episodes available that Anya was in and it was spelt Borowski, as online (3 of Anya's episodes are yet to be broadcast). Which spellings should we used? Simon Atmore confusion edit

Clearly the man who got out of the car greeted the other man with "Simon, my man", meaning Simon would be the person who came out of the police station and the attacker Ben recognised was unnamed. However, photos of Tom Palmer look like the greeter/attacker, and I would expect them to credit the person with the speaking part, so unless both characters are called Simon, something seems not right... anemoneprojectors 08:30, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Amir (2 September 2016) edit

Hi it might just be me but was watching the episode that aired Friday and I thought I heard, Kush call the extra behind the counter in the Cafe "Amir" but it does not show up on the subtitles it is at 4 minutes 5 seconds link to episode below

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07th4nd/eastenders-02092016

Can anyone confirm this as it's hard to hear.

Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 16:31, 6 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Kelvin 101: I remember thinking the same, and checked the subtitles. Without anything in the subtitles I thought it best to leave this one out. But I can't remember if I thought it was Amir or something else. anemoneprojectors 13:33, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

On the subject of uncredited others, I was going to add Russel after he clearly appears, so thanks for doing that. There is a similar example with Jerome and Ethan - Ben told Phil they were looking after the Arches on 13 September, and I recall a recent episode where two young men were in the background of the Arches working on a car together. Are we safe to assume that was Jerome and Ethan, or should we leave it? Also, I don't know which episode it was. anemoneprojectors 18:17, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your right I vaguely remember these two in the background, if we can't find the episode date proberley best to leave it. Might be hard to find but I have just noticed iPlayer website has a scrubber bar feature like YouTube that you can use to look by frame. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk)
@Kelvin 101: Yeah that's a new feature, so could help us to try to find the scene we want more quickly. I'm not sure where to start looking though, but needs to be before it expires - and it might have already gone. We shouldn't worry too much though, as they're only background characters who weren't named initially. anemoneprojectors 15:47, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
@AnemoneProjectors: I will have a quick flick through
first possible is 26 Aug 2016 at 24.01 and 27.21 http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07qch5f/eastenders-26082016
will continue to look thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:01, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Kelvin 101: Don't look any further! Those are exactly the scenes I was thinking of, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any others. anemoneprojectors 18:17, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
@AnemoneProjectors: Its funny and lucky because that particular episode expires in 1 hour time. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk)
I know, that saved a lot of wasted time had you looked tomorrow! anemoneprojectors 21:37, 25 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Anir" may actually be "Emin" 17 October 2017 Cathy said to Tina that Emin will be late. Although without seeing him we would necessarily know. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:49, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

It may have been Emin. I think I've heard the name Emin before and we may have seen this character before as well, as it's potentially one of the regular background extras like Marie. anemoneprojectors 17:29, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mike Rendon edit

Although Mike Rendon is credited 17 October 2016, I don't re-call him being in the episode. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 16:22, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Me neither, but I was meaning to rewatch it in case he was lurking in the background. He would still have been credited even if he didn't speak until his second episode. anemoneprojectors 21:35, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
It was already updated to say he watched Jay while he worked. Makes sense, as he said he knew where Jay worked. anemoneprojectors 21:39, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
@AnemoneProjectors: I have went back through 17 October 2016 and still no sign of Mike Rendon perhaps it was a mistake on the one screen credits as on his agents website it lists the broadcast dates and that one is not listed. http://www.narrowroad.co.uk/news/bailey-patrick--eastenders I will ask BBC iPlayer to correct it and if they do then we can take it as confirmation. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 15:19, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I wouldn't bother, he was credited on screen. It won't be a mistake. He'll have been lurking and you'll have missed him. anemoneprojectors 15:34, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Then again, it might be a mistake, but iPlayer won't be able to help because he was credited on screen. Maybe he wasn't in the episode as his agent doesn't list it. anemoneprojectors 15:40, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've checked all the outdoor scenes (he wouldn't have been indoors unless in the Vic) and unless he's walking past Jack and the kids cleaning up, then he's not in the episode. anemoneprojectors 15:45, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@AnemoneProjectors: thanks for the confirmation, yeah I re-watched the whole episode he is definitely not in it. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:28, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@AnemoneProjectors: Just to let you know the BBC have since changed the online credits and removed Mike Rendon http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08072pd
That's good to know, thanks Kelvin 101. I wonder why the bot didn't sign your comment. anemoneprojectors 22:26, 14 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Terry edit

I am not really sure who Terry is as Roxy is seen with two different people and either of them could be Terry.

Here is screengrabs from both episodes.

6 December 2016

8 December 2016

Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 00:07, 2 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

6 December - 27 mins, Kush is with his friends including him. 27 mins 20 secs, Roxy clocks him. 28 mins 30 secs, Roxy is in the alleyway with him.
8 December - 1 minute, Roxy is seen with a totally different man. 11 mins, Kush says "you met him Tuesday" and Donna says "I thought you met him last night" - meaning the 8 December episode is not set the day after the 6 December episode and they are talking about two different men. 12 mins 30 secs, Kush says he is married, and Martin calls him "Terry", says he went home "Tuesday night" and his marriage effectively ended. Roxy refers to their "5 seconds of heaven" meaning he most likely didn't stay the night (evidenced by the fact he went home Tuesday night).
Therefore, Terry does not appear on 8 December, and is not the man that Amy sees in the morning. anemoneprojectors 15:21, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ethel edit

I think Ethel first appeared 9 December not November, When Carmel caught him at the Cafe bins and cased him away

Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 21:06, 2 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

9 December was the earliest episode I could find the cat in from iPlayer. It was the one where Shakil and Bex had sex, and when Shakil shooed the cat away outside it led to him seeing Bex talking to Louise (28 mins). When I checked, 1 December was the earliest episode. But I'm sure the cat had been hanging around for longer. Do you have access to earlier episodes? anemoneprojectors 15:04, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I think the majority of them are on
Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 22:46, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
They all seem to be there. I could be wrong but I do think I saw the cat before that episode. anemoneprojectors 23:09, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mark Fowler edit

I know he's credited as Mark Fowler, but should we just call him Mark Fowler Jnr on here to avoid confusion with the other Mark Fowler? Dennis Jnr is credited as simply Dennis Rickman but is called Dennis Rickman Jnr on here, and it looks strange on people's infoboxes like Martin's where it looks like his brother and his nephew are the same person. SamLaws81101 (talk) 00:07, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

He is mentioned as Mark Fowler Jr here

I have often wondered the difference between JR and JNR, do they have different meanings. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 17:07, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Jnr and Jr are both short for the same thing so it doesn't really matter which one we use. SamLaws81101 (talk) 18:05, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

(edit conflict) @SamLaws81101: I believe not because he's not the son of Mark Fowler. Arthur isn't called Jr, Charlie Cotton too. But Dennis is the son of Dennis. However, I was going to suggest removing the Jnr from Dennis as he's not credited that way. It shouldn't be confusing if someone clicks on a link in an infobox, but if it will be confusing, maybe it's only infoboxes that need some changing. But Mark should never be called Jnr because his father isn't Mark. In fact, he and Michelle shouldn't even be called Fowler but that's not our problem. @Kelvin 101: "Jnr" is British English, "Jr" is American English, but both mean "junior". I suppose the EE blog is using it to attempt to avoid confusion - but I don't know why they went for the American English. anemoneprojectors 18:10, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Agreed, he should not be called Jnr or Jr since he's not the son of someone called Mark (for one thing) and for another he's not credited as such. I've changed this a couple of times already in articles where he's mentioned.ZarhanFastfire (talk) 01:06, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
I agree that it should be Mark Fowler. Grangehilllover (talk) 06:35, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
