Rob Grayson

There seems to be a bit of back and forth today over whether Rob should be classed as a regular or recurring character. While, as discussed yesterday at the main character list, it's not a foolproof method of gauging productorial intent, Jody Latham is credited at the bottom of the character list amongst the recurring and guest artists. His development is more about the storyline rather than the charcter. The storyline is more notable than the character. I don't think he should have a picture. Seeing as Shenice is coming back and Martina isn't, should we split them? We would probably have to move Martina into "others" though because we only have real-world information for Shenice. I'm late, but I definitely agree with Eddie having been split off :). Mario, have you considered the possibility of turning your Rob draft into a storyline article? You've done a great job bringing all the sources together, but a lot of the text (I'd say the vast majority, in fact) is about the storyline generally, rather than Rob specifically. They don't announce it if a minor character becomes a regular. when we heard of her return it was implied she would only be in a few episodes again. She could be a recurring character but with a profile on the website we can list her as a regular, I suppose. Marc Zammit - Craig

Although CastingCallPro still says that Zammit will appear as Craig, this still hasn't come about and he's not in upcoming credits yet. Should we remove him until he is, as it's possible his scenes may have been cut or something. Well will she have her own entry? I see that most EE characters have to be built up quite a bit before splitting - yet the E20 characters who are not that notable - all get articles. .. That's what we did for Fatboy, Zsa Zsa and Leon after we found out they were coming into EastEnders, so I think that's what we should do for Faith. At the moment, all her info is on the E20 list and there's nothing here. But what goes on in E20 will stay on the E20 list. Look at how we've dealt with Grace as well, same as that I guess. I did want all E20 characters to have articles so they could be GAs and I could create a GT for E20, that's why I've split them all off so far, but I won't do the series 3 ones if there's no need, they can stay on the list :) –anemoneprojectors– 13:26, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

I know Philip Granger QC and Mrs Bartlett were involved in Ronnie's trial but I don't remember who was on what side. Can anyone help update these people. Was DC Towers the person who interviewed Ian? It was the episode after Mandy's return. The undercover policewoman who stopped Ian when he was looking for Mandy wasn't credited. Dr Arnott may have been someone who spoke to Syed and Christian when they found Zainab passed out. I dont think 15-20 reliable refs is accurate to say. So long as the characters have received significant coverage in secondary sources, then they can have their own page, but only if someone is willing to write character creation, development and possibly reception sections. There is no rule to say that a standalone article needs 15-20 refs. Under five is even fine, so long as the content stands alone.GunGagdin^Moan

The problem is, after so many affairs, marriages and births, so many characters could be seen to be related in some way to others. If we were to list ALL relations of characters, the lists would become endless! (Liam Butcher is the prime example of this, he is practically related to everyone in some way in EE at the moment apart from the Masoods!) Rose's names

I can't find any reference outside Wikipedia or a Wikia copy of this article, that mentions her brothers being called Taylor. The implication would be that Dot Cotton's mother remarried and the two boys were her and Rose's half-brothers, but I don't know where that comes from. I believe any mentions to Dot's siblings outside of Rose were from one of the Hugh Miller novels that Trampikey added many years ago. This is probably where the surname Colwell came from too. I think the Colwell stuff is a bit dubious, and could be removed. Rose was definitely called Taylor and Beauchamp as shown on screen, but she's never been known by these names in the show (other than when Dot denies Rose's marriage to Charlie and calls her Rose Taylor). If we remove these names, we'd probably have to do it for all other characters who had a previous name that they weren't actually called in the show, like Tanya Cross, Sharon Stretton, Dot Colwell, Bianca Branning, etc. –anemoneprojectors– 10:00, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

I think I remember that. So it seems she was born Rose Taylor after her father, but maybe she was known as Rose Colwell due to her mother's name being Colwell. Then she married a Beauchamp before marrying Charlie Cotton? But you put 9 August 2012, which IMDb says but the BBC doesn't. I think 23 July is correct, because I seem to remember Shenice leaving, and then being in the live broadcast (they also brought back other child characters who weren't really around at that time - I think Tiffany and Morgan might have been there, but they're also not credited online, probably just so it was special for the actors as as once-in-a-lifetime opportunity) and then not appearing again.
