Viewership

In view of the changing viewership of some episodes which seems to constantly fluctuate and has no referncing, It may be prudent to merge the ratings into the plot synopsis as they are referenced. The episodes viewership numbers with no references given, should probably be removed until it can be verified. Any other opinions on this?Ottawa4ever (talk) 16:29, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

It's not that big a deal. It's not contentious. If we remove every statement in WP without a reference, there is nothing left.

Of course. It is always best to provide references. Many people are too lazy, or don't know how to format a footnote, or something. That doesn't make the information fundamentally incorrect. The syntax is going to be daunting for some people.

I don't think Canadians, with our national culture of compromise, will be fanatically applying a rule on this page in any case.

But, by all means, if the sourcing can be found, it should of course be added.

I, personally, don't know where those figures come from. Not my cuppa tea.

I think tv by the numbers usually has em, but i dont know how far back it archives, Theres a canadiana barnstar in it for someone who can find all the viewership refs for the first 24 episodes and update this page accordingly with proper citations :) Ottawa4ever (talk) 17:11, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Copyvio tag

I hate to do this, but I believe this page is basically just a series of copyright violations. Basically, it appears that the show synopses are copied from onine TV Guide website, such as the one I put in the copyvio report. While I know that this seems small, Wikipedia always errs on the side of not copying. So basically all of the synopses need to be removed; I can and will do it, but it's a very long process and I'll have to do it at a later date; that will just leave the episode list without the synopses.

Beyond that, the synopses were in fact not appropriate for Wikipedia--they were all written in a guidebook style. They simply hinted at what would occur in the episode, clearly not "spoiling" the actual episode. This is a violation of WP:SPOILER and WP:NOT--an encyclopedic synopses of a work of fiction should summarize the entire show.

Unfortunately, while I've seen the first two seasons of this show, it was several years ago and I don't remember the episodes well enough to provide my own synopses. Eventually we'll need some with the DVDs or other access to the shows to provide user-written summaries, again, of the complete episodes (not teaser trailers).
