Colour coding
editApparently colour alone is not considered sufficient markup by some WP policy. We'll need some typographic markers as well. Current symbols and my suggestions:
Free agents
- Renounce = ® (already used)
- Sign and trade =
- Signed after buyout = $
- Failed to make roster = ©
- Converted to two-way = (2)
- 10-day contract = (X)
Two-way contracts
- Promoted to main roster =
- Cut before season's end = **** (already used; © might be better)
Other American and Canadian Leagues
- Returned to former G-League team = * (already used)
- Previously on 2-way = † (already used)
- Unsigned draft pick =
Going overseas
- International players returning home: * (already used)
Waived
- Claimed by another team = ©
- On 2-way contract = † (already used)
- Contract voided =
Draft
- Signed to two-way contract = (2)
- Expected to play overseas =
Suggestions wanted. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 19:36, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
I think "^" for promoted to main roster and ">" for going overseas wouldn’t be bad ideas. "–" for unsigned draft pick, "~" for contract voided maybe? Hotpotato1234567890 (talk) 02:19, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
Recent waivers
editDon't these belong under Training camp cuts rather than the regular Waived section? G. Timothy Walton (talk) 12:47, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
That’s what I was thinking too, I just don’t have the time to make the changes Hotpotato1234567890 (talk) 19:59, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
Camp cuts claimed off waivers
editI think these should be marked up somehow, whether by symbol or by remaining in the Waived table where they can have the proper background applied. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 16:21, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
