Different lyrics, different song

edit

"Let's Stick Together" and "Let's Work Together" are entirely different songs. Yes they have the same tune, but so do "Sweet Little 16" and "Surfing USA" which are different songs, and there are scads of other examples. I'm rewriting the lede to clarify this. They're often discussed together,[1][2][3] so it doesn't appear that they are seen as "entirely different": same singer/writer, same melody and phrasing, etc. It will be interesting to see what reliable sources have to say about what makes them so uniquely different. —Ojorojo (talk) 16:57, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Public domain verse

I think it worth noting that the second verse of Harrison's later version ("Let's Work Together") is word-for-word copied from the late-19th-century poem "Don't Quit", commonly attributed to John Greenleaf Whittier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:602:67F:D620:DC47:4B3D:E2B0:8E3B (talk) 16:57, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
