Planetary nebulae near the north celestial pole

edit

Thus, the Lemon Slice Nebula (IC 3568) is about 7 degrees away from the north celestial pole. Are there other planetary nebulae within the disc of 14 degrees diameter? (planetary nebulae which are much "nearer" to Polaris than the Lemon Slice Nebula). I still have the first edition of the URANOMETRIA 2000.0 star atlas (1987). Charts 1 and 2 of this atlas (which show the disc of 12 degrees diameter around the north celestial pole) don't show planetary nebulae, but I guess the Millennium Star Atlas or the updated version of Uranometria 2000.0 have lots of planetaries in this region, or...?? Anyway, what is the nearest planetary to Polaris? (from the Perek-Kohoutek catalogue of planetary nebulae). DannyCaes (talk) 14:56, 16 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
