What technology do they use?

VoIP?

Merged “Lebara Group” and “Lebara Mobile”

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that the Lebara Group and Lebara Mobile entries were very similar, and am suggesting a merged entry. However, I think the title should be Lebara Group (the parent company) rather than Lebara Mobile. Do you agree? Suggested merged entry below.

Lebara Group is one of world’s fastest growing telecoms operators, providing high quality and low cost international mobile products and services, especially for migrant communities. Lebara Mobile provides Pay As you Go and Pay Monthly mobile SIM cards and related services in seven European countries and Australia. In March 2011, it expanded its services by launching Lebara Money in the UK for customers wishing to send money abroad. Lebara group has more than 3 million customers and revenues for 2010 of €565 million. The company currently employs some 1,400 staff across its operations and markets. History The Lebara Group was founded in 2001 by Leon R. Ranjith, Baskaran Kandiah and Ratheesan Yoganathan who shared a vision to transform the international calling market, making it easier for migrant communities to stay in touch with friends and family back home. The founders worked on the idea at an airport cafe after seeing the imposing Telenor building on the way to the airport in Bergen, Norway. Thanks for editing here rather than directly in the article after you declared your conflict of interest.

I've moved the page as suggested, and used some of your material including the 2011 article from the Guardian. I didn't find the BBC citation helpful, as it was about unified communications rather than Lebara. The "vision" and "mission" stuff is not appropriate content for an encyclopedia, unless it's a direct quotation from the official website. I removed Norway from current operations, as the group's own website currently does not include that in its list of locations. – Fayenatic L (talk) 20:00, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
