Can we get a section on this article discussing fibre-based systems?

We can use reference material from http://www.wi-ltd.com/security/Pipeline_Security/Leak_Detection/Westminster_Dual_Purpose_Pipeline_Security_and_Leak_Detection_System but a link as a reference should be provided. This is a world's first product, so this technology should be included on this page.

Complete revision in order to extend focus

edit

The article had been revised in order to extend the focus. Guideline was API RP 1130, which (among other topics) gives information how to classify Leak Detection Systems (LDS) into internqally based LDS and externally based LDS. The existing "Infrared radiometric pipeline testing" method had been integrated into the section for externally based LDS, and other techniques (Acoustic emission detectors, Vapour-sensing tubes, Fibre-optic leak detection) had been added to this section. The section "Internally based LDS" is completely new.--Geiger G (talk) 06:11, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

No mention of dogs being used quite extensively in this field. Why? Orthotox (talk) 06:28, 1 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Recommend changing article title to Pipeline Leak Detection since "Leak Detection" is too general.Kmtrip (talk) 07:49, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
