Neumann expansion edit
Somebody attached the name John von Neumann to the two-center Neumann expansion of the potential . However, the expansion is due to Carl Gottfried Neumann and published decades before John was born. P.wormer (talk) 07:34, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

Neumann in chapter 13 and 14 of Vorlesungen über die Theorie des Potentials und der Kugelfunctionen von Franz Neumann; herausgegeben von Carl Neumann. B.G. Teubner Verlag, Leipzig (1887).
