Team Snake

Since Team Snake is not offiliated with The Land of Sound (Sasuke has always been independent) shouldn't they be removed from this page page and have one for their one?

Naruto geography?

I don't understand why this was taken out of the Naruto geography page. Tim Pierce 05:03, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

I don't see any problems with this page, other than it should be renamed to something better. It's merely moving out some of the characters similar to what was done with Akatsuki (Naruto). --Pentasyllabic 06:11, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
I agree. These sub-pages are better than piling everyone into a giant Naruto Character page --VegitaU 3:04, 17 December 2005

Character dump

I am going to dump all the Sound people stuff into here, thereby shortening "Characters of Naruto" -Unknown

Pentasyllabic deletion

We still don't know what Kabuto's true aim is. He of all people should know that Orochimaru regards all those under him as expendable pawns. Why he would chose to be with someone like that as opposed to Konoha who value the lives of all their shinobi remains to be a mystery. When Orochimaru had lost the use of his hands because of the Sandaime Hokage, Kabuto had offered himself up to become Orochimaru's next body, although that never happened it shows that for some reason Kabuto is willing to die for Orochimaru.

This was deleted, and while I agree it isn't professioanlly presented enough for an article ('we'?) it does bring up some interesting issues. I am preserving this in the talk section until it can be properly transferred. I should also add, that it is good to provide an explanation when making such changes, so that the blatant deletion be not seen as meanness. Knowing reasons for actions prevents misunderstanding. Tyciol 09:29, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
My rationale is that it was pure speculation. --Pentasyllabic 17:27, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Yeah but it says revert using popups... I wasn't sure what that meant. Anyway, it is currently in a speculative state. It does have some interesting points to talk about in the character though. For example, why does Kabuto stay with Orochimaru when he obviously is not completely confident that Orochimaru trusts him or wants him kept alive? I can't assume it's gratitude from being freed from Akatsuki, because if he operated on gratitudes, he wouldn't be betraying Konoha, his country of origin. Further info is needed about his medical examiner parents (are they adopted?) and so on. Also, did he offer himself up to Orochimaru as a body? I forget... Tyciol 05:40, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
First of all, regarding the deleted text; there's a lot of wrong information in it. We know that Orochimaru doesn't treat Kabuto like he treats his otger subordinates. In fact, he even acknowledged how important Kabuto is to him. We also know why Kabuto follows Orochimaru. As Kabuto himself said "I had already fallen in love with his way of thinking". And yes, Kabuto did indeed offer himself to Orochimaru as his next body.--JadziaLover 22:03, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
Well, he may treat Kabuto better, but it's still kinda shitty. He didn't warn him about the 3 sound-nin, and Kabuto was a tad upset about it. It's understandable he wouldn't tell the sound-nin about Kabuto (he's a valued spy), then again, Kabuto for some reason chose to reveal himself to Kakashi/Konoha when he could have easily kept his identity hidden during the botched Sasuke kidnapping. I'm guessing the 'fell in love with his way of thinking' part is only in the manga, I can't wait to see it in the anime :) Tyciol 16:59, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Third sacrifice

I'm going to remove all references to Dosu being the possible third sacrifice for the Edo Tensei. The data book clearly states that Edo Tensei needs a living sacrifice and Dosu was obviously not living anymore ^^ --JadziaLover 11:59, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Ah okay, I wasn't aware of that part, although... they might have stabilized his life long enough to use him. You don't actually see him die after all, perhaps Gaara was held back at the last minute? Tyciol 06:30, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
You don't see him die? There's a giant gash across his entire body and face...that's pretty fatal. He was drawn as if he was dead, too. Besides, Gaara holding back? --JadziaLover 07:51, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
I didn't really notice any gash, was that in the manga? It's implied that Gaara is using his demon form, but I think Dosu could have survived that initial attack from it. I don't think Gaara would hold back, but that he could be 'held back'. Remember that Kabuto and the Sand jounin were watching the battle. They both seemed okay with the death, but as it cut away, perhaps Kabuto remember Orochimaru wanted sacrifice, and stopped him? It could explain why Gaara's bloodlust was unfulfilled and he went after Rock Lee and Sasuke later :) Tyciol 06:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it's seen in the manga. It's pretty clear that Dosu is dead. In fact, when Baki ask Kabuto if was ok for Gaara to have done that to Dosu, because he's an Oto-nin, Kabuto says "It's ok, we finished using him a long time ago."
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 16:22, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Ok about the discussion, but then who do you think was used for the third sacrifice?
I think it was Akadou Yoroi. Misumi was rather obviously crushed to death by Kankurou, it couldn't have been Dosu (dead) or Kabuto (still alive, unfortunately...), so Yoroi is the best choice
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 05:31, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
I have to disagree. For one, in the anime Akadou Yoroi obviously survived (along with Misumi). Which leaves some random ninja, or Dosu. We never see how Gaara attacks Dosu, so it's possibly he might have somehow survived it (remember, Kabuto is a great medical ninja), at least in some vegetative state to be used in the summoning. Tyciol 15:11, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Misumi did indeed survive. Kankuro didn't "crush him to death." He broke every bone in his body EXCEPT his neck, therefore leaving Misumi in great pain, but still alive, although barely. 138.88.117.189 22:33, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Manga_King
We did see Dosu's death in the manga, or at least, the physical harm, which was enough to draw a conclusion: Gaara basically transformed into Shukaku and made a giant three-fingered claw-mark on the building that they were standing on. The middle finger made a huge gash into Dosu's right side, from his stomach to the upper part of his face. It's not elaborated upon what happened to his body, however. It's likely that he was found dead by Konoha residents (which may or may not include Ninja) and removed (I'm not sure if he would have been properly buried. He was a Sound-nin, and technically the enemy, so...), but I guess it might be possible that he was found by someone else. Even then, the prupose would be pretty blurry. It would probably take some badass medical skills, at least on par with Kabuto's, to patch him up, and even then, he likely would've died from the shock or bled to death. I'd say that the chances of him surviving long enough to be used as a sacrifice for Kuchiyose is pretty slim... 63.227.4.136 05:05, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

What about the guy that was the fake jounin sensei of kabuto, Misumi and Yoroi?-Someguyyoudontknow

Sakon and Ukon merge

I'm not sure these two warrant separate entries. They have so many similarities and it can be confusing to have 5 entries under 'Sound 4'. They're effectively one character for the most part, similar to Kiba and his dog. Tyciol 06:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Although they are similar, there are still some major differences between them, including, but not limited to, their jutsu and personality. Merging them would only cause more confusion, I think. However, we could give Ukon a sub-header under Sakon.
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 16:32, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Sound Four to Sound Five?

I would like to change it to 'Sound Five' which is supposedly proper, with a note on how it became known as 'Sound Four' upon Kimimaro's retirement. Tyciol 06:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Ok with me ^^ Kimimaro has to be included then and a note about how Sasuke is now the head of the Sound Five.
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 16:33, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Sakon and Ukon were counted as one person in the sound 4 which is what made them that and the only reason kimimaro is included in the sound 4 was that he defeated them all in battle and orochimaru apointed him as leader, but since they disliked them they kept their name sound four(not sure about that last part)and also sasuke cant be the new leader becauseevery member of the sound four died. jirobo died when chouji punched him, kidoumaru died of internal injusries(?), tayuya died when temari destroyed the forest, and sakon and ukon were killed by karasu and kuro ari

I think they should be sound six, counting ukon and kimimaro(how do you pronounce that? im really asking you.). - Hyuuga-sama 20:13, 25 March 2007 (UTC)hyuuga-sama

It has already been said that Sakon & Ukon was counted as one person thanks to their kekkei genkai, and Kimimaro joined later.Jacce 04:54, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Jadzia revert

Thanks for that, all that metric>imperial thing was unfuriating. The nickname for the unknown jounin is good, but it does need backing, it just sounded like a fan-thing, and not one necessarily widely used (haha, pun on 'wide glasses') at that. Tyciol 09:07, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

The nickname is cute and all, but "wide glasses" would probably be "hiroi megane" (広いメガネ, 広い眼鏡) in Japanese ^^ I never heard any nickname for the unknown Jōnin before, so I doubt it's used by many fans, if any.

I'm mainly an anime-watcher, I haven't gotten to the chuunin exams in the manga. Do you know if the UJ is pictured in the anime at all? I seriously did not notice anyone else... Tyciol 17:25, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes, he is. In episode 37 ^^ ~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 21:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
  • curses lengthfully* This does explain my confusion. This happens to be the very episode I am missing in my CD-R collection. So, even though I'm watching it for the third time, I've had to skip that one... I suppose I'll see it on the english dub though. It shouldn't matter since he doesn't talk, right? Tyciol 20:19, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Sasuke

I added Uchiha Sasuke to the Villagers section because he's currently affiliated with Otogakure. Although he didn't start out as a Sound Nin, so didn't Kimimaro, so...

The Wretched

Mortality status of the Sound Five

Are you guys sure about listing them all as dead? Obviously Sakon and Ukon are dead, as well as Kimimaro, but the others (based on my viewing of the anime, at least) merely seemed to be incapacitated and captured.

Also, the ages seem rather young- the seiyuu, at least, made them sound older than just 14. --maru (talk) contribs 00:35, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

The manga leaves little doubt about their deaths. The databooks states their ages.
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 06:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough. If the canon sources say so, I shall not gainsay'em. --maru (talk) contribs 04:06, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

the way i see it the onlyone that could have survived is kidoumaru because of the way he referanced that he suffered similar internal injuries when he fought kimimaro

Names problem

The Sound genin sent to the chūnin exams have their personal names as their first names on this page (i.e. Dosu Kinuta, instead of Kinuta Dosu). Shouldn't this be changed for the sake of consistency?

This is how their names are written in Japanese. There should be no change.
~卍 JadziaLover 会話~投稿 卐~ 09:22, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
So what is their family name and what is their given name? --Byakuren 01:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Family names: Kinuta, Tsuchi, Abumi
Given: Dosu, Kin, Zaku
However, the author choose to use the western order this time around. Don't ask why. Maybe because their names flow better with the western order. "Dosu Kinuta" sounds better than "Kinuta Dosu", doesn't it? The Wretched 18:59, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Just for curiosity's sake (not doubting you), what exactly does the footnote in volume 5 say? --Frostious 17:51, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

"Abumi's shirt says "death"

I was looking through volume 5 for the footnote mentioned in Dosu's trivia section regarding the trio's names, but I couldn't locate it - could someone specify where exactly it is? //Frostious 19:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
The only footnote in Viz's Volume 5 related to the three Sound ninjas does nothing but translate the character on Zaku's shirt. So my guess is that either the reference in the article is wrong, or the footnote only exists in the Japanese Volume 5 (in which case the article doesn't clarify). ~SnapperTo 18:53, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Strange, it's in mine. I'll upload a partial scan, how 'bout that? (Volume 5, PG 72, chapter 40, panel 6. Click for bigger view) - Count Mall

Again, that only translates the character on Zaku's shirt and says nothing about name order. ~SnapperTo 05:30, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah it does, if my name was Bob Smith, people wouldnt say "Smith's shirt say's 'poo'", they would say "Bob's shirt says 'poo'". Therefor, his firs tname was originally Abumi! - Count Mall

Conjecture. That's a translator's note. The original manga would not have had that note. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:44, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
The trivia in question says: It was revealed in a footnote about Zaku's shirt in volume 5 that Kishimoto had originally planned on using their current surnames as their given names and vice versa, but decided against it, possibly to give them a more "foreign" feel. The footnote in the image you provided says: Abumi's shirt says "death". Equal, they do not. ~SnapperTo 06:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

First, the last thing by Snapper2 didnt make sense to me. Second, if it's an error by the translator, then we should reword the trivia 'in question', eh, bucco? Count Mall

There. I re-worded it to say It is revealed in a footnote about Zaku's shirt in volume 5 that the VIZ translators originally mistook Abumi as his given name, but they caught they're mistake before Zaku was adressed and moved to Zaku's trivia. Please argue here before deleting it. - Count Mall

That's a guess. They don't say anything of the sort. You are not allowed to draw your own conclusions and present them as facts. See WP:NOR. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 17:31, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Can we leave this up? It was a pain in the ass getting it scanned and uploaded to wikipedia. It also serves as proof the the VIZ translators mistook his name for Abumi.

No. It serves no purpose and doesn't prove anything. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 17:37, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, talking like Yoda makes things difficult to understand. The statement that was in the article in no way, shape, or form matched what the footnote in Viz's volume 5 says, largely due to the absence of Kishimoto's explanation about the "foreign feel". ~SnapperTo 18:12, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, Snapper for rewording that. I guess your right. But the Count's will is law... and I will the statement to stay! (that last thing was a joke, it can go) -Count Mall

That comment with "Smith's/Bob's shirt says poo" doesnt prove anything. Havent you ever called anyone by their last name before? And (although i dont remember exactly where it is) i vaguely remember either Kabuto or Orochimaru calling Sasuke by Uchiha, which is his family name. KKIPPES 05:53, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Akado Yoroi

Okay, um...it says that he's presumed dead, but shouldn't he just be flatout dead? It's obvious he's dead. It's possible that he could've survived Shino's Kikai bugs, but how could he have not drowned? I mean, there was no way he could've recovered fast enough to swim up and keep from drowning, unless he was a subject to one of the experiments and thus became a Kaima, granting him the ability of underwater breath (which there is no evidence of). Plus, as it already says, he is not seen visibly surfacing. The Wretched 02:43, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Because his death is deliberately left ambiguous for a possible return in the manga. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 05:00, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
You know, for someone who hates speculation, you say a lot of things that you don't know for sure... If that's the case we might as well say the same thing about Misumi... The Wretched 20:46, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes we could. Point is, it is deliberately left ambiguous. You never see him die, so it's ambiguous. It allows the writers to bring either character back with little trouble. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 20:48, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Going by that logic, Someguy, are we going to confirm Yoroi & co as dead if they don't show up in the manga again? I'd say that's about as speculative as what we're doing right now... 217.208.27.13 22:54, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Congrats on reviving a year-old topic. Please pay attention to what you respond to. If he never comes back, he's still presumed dead. Also, what we're doing isn't speculative. What we're doing is acknowledging a lack of information. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:00, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

'Trivia' section is not a dump-space for speculations

Okay, Wikipedia is an encyclopædia, not a speculation forum. I've removed the pseudo-trivia listed below from the main article, but have left it here for your enjoyment:

  • Dosu could be a leper, which would explain the bandages.
  • Some believe that Dosu's right is covered by the bandage, but the way the close-ups showed the bandage over right eye arranged would allow him to still be able to see through the bandages.
  • Dosu and Zaku might be homosexuals or misogynists because Zaku automatically save Dosu from Rock Lee's lotus attack and Dosu wanted to avenge Zaku after his battle with Shino depise their lacking common grounds. However, both refused to help at all the female of their group Kin during Yamanaka Ino's mind-swapping technique or sympathized with her after her embarrassing defeat to Shikamaru. They was willing to sacrifice her during the possession and even attack her body until she bleed from the mouth.

If you believe you have verifiable facts and not mere speculation, feel free to add them to the trivia section. --Byakuren 02:59, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

From the "Zaku Abumi sub-section":
-- Many fans believe Zaku is from Hidden Waterfall. This is because, in the anime, in a flashback Zaku had during his fight with Shino, a Waterfall shinobi is chasing him, and is possibly an oinin. However, other fans argue that the sign of his origin was the cresent moon he fought under, which would mean he is from Hidden Moon. This theory is supported through the fact that the camera focused on the moon for a few seconds.
Should this go, as well? --Byakuren 03:02, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Speculation is the devil. Delete it unless it has some decent reasoning behind it (i.e. better than the above reasoning). – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 03:15, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the edit, Someguy0830! --Byakuren 01:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Kimimaro seems to have his own article already

Kimimaro Kaguya seems to already exist as a separate article. Should we merge this infomation back into here, or have this article point to it as the main article? –NeoChaosX (talk | contribs) 20:03, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Even in western name order, but I don't see the point. The guy appears and dies in three some odd episodes. Whatever relevant information it has should be merged. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 20:05, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Regarding Kimimaro's techniques

Has anyone ever noticed that he used Dance of the Clematis: Flower on two different hands? And he required several bones already protruding from his hand to initiate the jutsu? The same with DotC: Vine, it would appear that he cannot regenerate spinal cords, since he didn't let go of it after it has been caught and attemted to destroy the Shukaku no tate instead of just walking around it...

And after Sawarabi no Mai (I got annoyed with typing english translations) he lost the six bones protruding out from the back of his body. It would appear that some of his bone techniques can only be used a few times for each time he initiates the Shin no Juin to go stage two. 24.149.204.116 23:21, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

He can grow his bones at will, so that's pretty much all inaccurate. Spinal cord? Simply because he doesn't let it go doesn't mean he needs it. You wouldn't let go of your main weapon in battle. It doesn't matter how many bones he grows or pulls out, because he can always produce more. Also, about the shield, he was overconfident. He simply believed he could break through it easily. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 23:50, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

About Kin

People keep adding info about her not being important to the team because Dosu and Zaku didn't seem to care whether she got injured or not and even hurt her. But really, it's impossible to judge it on just that one situation - the reaction could've been the exact same had it been anyone else of the team in her place. Of course they're going to help a teammate as long as possible (if for nothing else then for the success of the mission), but if they have to choose between the mission and a team member, then the mission takes priority.
Of course, that's just speculation as well. But like I said, people shouldn't try to find too much meaning in just one scene. //Frostious 18:20, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

They did say that they would willingly harm or even kill any teammate if they're forced to, such as when Ino possessed Kin. Though Kin didn't have a major role, every character has some purpose or another. In Kin's case, it's the Oto-nin's triumph over Ino-Shika-Cho through blackmail and a host for Summoning: Impure World Resurrection. 71.212.160.161 04:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Spelling of the Sound 5

Ok I just have a few questions first of all is it Kimimaru or Kimimaro and also how exactly do you spell Jiroubou? 207.200.116.10 15:06, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Tayuyafan92

If you were to scan through the article, you'd learn the correct spelling: "Kimimaro" is correct; "Jirōbō" is also the correct spelling, as ō is the correct character to use for the ou sound, though it's easier for most people to drop the accent and just use an o, making his name more accurately/commonly "Jirobo". ~SnapperTo 18:59, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Genin

Since I've finally discovered where in the databooks rank is given, I've noticed that Yoroi, Misumi, Zaku, Dosu, and Kin are all left without ranks. Since they were all technically Genin during their appearances, should I leave their ranks alone, or should I switch it to unknown? ~SnapperTo 04:57, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

In the official Hidden Leaf records, they would appear as genin. However, due to their tasks and missions, assassination and infiltration, they were probably jounin. However, this is mostly educated speculation. Genin will do, I guess. --Count Mall 18:02, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

But didnt you see those guys during the Orochimaru invasion? They were sound ninja, and Pakkun (i think) said they were "probably chuunin." Couldnt Dosu, Kin, and Zaku be Chuunin? Maybe they get their clothes changed, like when a konoha chuunin gets a vest. as for Yoroi and Misumi, idk. KKIPPES 06:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm. They were most likely high-level ninja that Orochi didn't bother giving ranks. They were posing as Genin, so our firmest lead is Genin, but that's still speculation. OR they could have been like Naruto over the timeskip- he's worthy of the Chuunin title but is still a Genin because he never retook the exam. 68.53.31.237 18:15, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Gen'yumaru deceased?

Now that Orochimaru has abandoned Gen'yumaru's body to go after Sasuke, does that mean he should be considered "deceased" now? Ikani87 03:02, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

He's still present within Orochimaru's subconscious, so he's still technically alive. ~SnapperTo 03:20, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
That girl was also present as well. So he transfers their subconscious with him when he switches bodies. Thanks for pointing that out.Ikani87 03:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Suigetsu

I made a section for Suigetsu, but it lacks the Japanese spelling of the name and the redirections to him in Sasuke's article (it's blocked). Maybe an image of the tank itself or of him rising from the water would be OK. In his height and weight I left a ? instead of "unknown" due to its ability to change forms.

Fixed Sasuke's article for this. Celain 19:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
The article is fine, but even though the picture shows a full body, I think it should be replaced with someting like the panel of his head, or maybe when he is next to the Naruto Bridge with the water bottle until we get something better. Maybe even the upper part of his naked body(although I don't recomend that pic.)White Coyote 04:48, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Typing of Suigetsu, where was it stated that he is, and I quote the article, "a former experiment subject of Orochimaru"? I'd say it sounds like an assumption based on the water tank container cell thingmajing in which he was kept, and I don't really think that qualifies as an acceptable fact... Actually, I believe Suigetsu hinted at himself being a potential container for Orochimaru, just like Suasuke, but contrary to Sasuke, his movements were restricted. Also, seeing as Suigetsu seems to need a steady water supply, that would explain the numberous small water tanks around his own... They were probably to keep him alive and with a constant steady water supply until Orochimaru considered it Suigetsu's time for the body transfer. 81.224.28.244 00:14, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Still ultimately speculation. "Former experimental subject" is substantiated by his comments and by the lab itself. In any case, wait for the upcoming chapters to reveal information before adding anything. Sephiroth BCR 06:26, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, now it's confirmed, he WAS experimented on... I rest my case. 81.224.28.244 23:15, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

That is not enough we need a picture of what he looks like now.68.225.113.222 02:52, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Yup...clothes please. The one before with the sword was good.--Count Mall 03:20, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

No it wasn't; you could barely tell what he looked like in that shot. A character's wardrobe is unimportant. Besides, nudists are the wave of the future! ~SnapperTo 03:45, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

OK...um...dont be gay, please. And I suppose you want to upload that pcture of Konohamaru's jutsu utalysing clones+copy jutsu that makes Sasai yaoi too, huh? LoL at you, bucko! But seriously...well, just dont upload the full version of that picture and I'll be happy enough. --Count Mall 21:00, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Since you seem to be uncomfortable with nudity, I suggest you never click this link. Furthermore, never go to a zoo, as animals don't tend to wear clothes. Also, don't go to beaches in Europe, as people aren't really required to wear anything there. And lastly, never change your clothes; you might accidentally see yourself naked and traumatize yourself beyond imagination. Now then, I hope I've steered you down the path of avoiding the inevitable. ~SnapperTo 21:16, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
As much as this discussion is immensely amusing, it's still off topic. Countmall, just stop. There's no reason and no incentive to continue. Sephiroth BCR 21:52, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Snapper, I'm saying that Naruto is not a hentai manga, therefor nudity should not be present here. I thried being accepting og this picture, just read my last comment, but I will not just sit here and be called anyhting-phobic! Sorry, Sepiroth, but just will not! Anyway, just dont use the full version of Suigetsu's nude pic and I, along with a large number of wikipedians, will be content. By the way, Snapper, I love turtle soup...--Count Mall 23:04, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

You're the only one complaining. If the nudity bothers you, I suggest you stop coming here. It's fine. Quit being a prude. PLus, you obviously have no concept of the difference between comedic nudity and hentai nudity, so you're efforts in that regard are just sad. Naruto's been naked as a woman more times than Suigetsu, so why complain? — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
"I, along with a large number of wikipedians". I see you complaining alone. Not a very convincing method to support your argument. In any case, you are continuing for no reason at all. No one here is going to accept your viewpoint, so simply stop, unless you enjoy wasting time here for your own amusement. Sephiroth BCR 00:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

OK...I try to shut up...but YOU drag it on. End of discussion alright? I would honestly LOOVE to shut up and end this discussion...so LEt me...PLEEEEASE!!! I BEG YOU!!! ALL I SAID IS THAT I LIKED THE OLD ONE BETTER...IS THAT SOOOO WRONG, WAAAAAAA!! *sheading tears*. OK? I already said that I accept this new pic...I have no more complaints...thats what this thing is about. I have no viewpoint...I'm on your side!--Count Mall 01:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I realy don't care if he naked but his clothes do look cool and it would help if it showed his water bottle. Also stop useing that gay. What make the hatered toward gay people different from racisium. Adolf anyone.

>_> In any case, there are better shots of Watermoon now that there are a few chapters with him in it, so could anybody upload something for the, uh, more feeble-minded? -- Seraphchoir 13:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I think someone should add that the meaning of Suigetsu's name might also mean that he can be touched but not grabbed, seeing as he turns into water. You know, like what happened when Karin tried to slap him in the latest chapter. Even though it's pretty obvious, it should still be placed in the article.

Read it again. That's in the first paragraph. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 04:00, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

OK...I did this because of Seraphchoir's request...but I uploaded I pic of Suigetsu clothed. I honestly was fine with naked Suigetsu, but Sera has a point. Some people here are afraid of nudity...and besides, this is what he looks like presently. If you're made at me...just dont scream at my zombie face.--Count Mall 03:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Naruto?

Who put Naruto in the sound genin section?

Pardon me if I don't know what I'm talking about, but...

Juugo or Jugo? With my limited knowledge on the subject, the "UU" simply denotes an extended "U" sound, much like in Hyuuga or Chuunin. For the sake of consistency, would "Jugo" be more appropriate? You Can't See Me! 04:56, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Well...Kishimoto seems to like the double-"u"'s, so keep the "Juugo" version over "Jugo". By the way, does Juugo look like Toshiro Hitsugaya to you? Please dont tell me I'm seeing Bleach!--Count Mall 21:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry if this is sort of off-topic

I noticed that the images of Juugo, Karin, and Suigetsu are in very good quality.

Does anyone know what manga group scanlated the image? Or if somebody just cleaned the image containing the character only.

The fastest scanslations are usually done by forum groups, but higher-quality scans that are cleaned, as far as I can name, are done by groups like Shannaro! or Inane, though I think Inane dropped Naruto. Don't quote me on that though. -- Seraphchoir 13:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Juugo or Jugo

it Juugo with 2 U, stop putting Jugo read the manga, one more time J-U-U-G-O, ok not jugo it says it juugo not jugo in the manga and since i autully read it stop changing it.

  • Japanese does not use Roman characters and has different spellings for words. It is similar to Mangekyo which can also be Mangekyou
In any case, I believe it's Wiki policy to use Hepburn romanization for all the articles, which is probably why you will find Neji's clan spelled as "Hyuga" and not "Hyuuga". -- Seraphchoir 13:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

It greatly angers me that they won't accept Juugo! It is the proper way to put his name! Just get over it! That is how it should be left. Everytime I read the word "Jugo" It makes em feel angry! Why Is it that wikipedia would be so dumb about spelling? You guys said it has somthing to do with Romanization or w/e u guys said. I'm not even sure what that means myself. ---Chipmonk328

Magic. ~SnapperTo 04:47, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I'd prefer Jūgo over Jugo (which I can see people accidentally reading as Juggo).
As per the WP:MOS-JA#Names of modern figures, this is the order of spelling preference:
  1. Use the official trade name if available in English/Latin alphabet;
  2. Use the form found in a dictionary entry from a generally-accepted English dictionary;
  3. Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in the English-speaking world;
  4. Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in any other popular Latin-alphabet-using language (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, and Dutch, or variations); or
  5. If none of the above is available, use the macronned form. –Gunslinger47 07:42, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Karin and Juugo

Were those two actually in the Otagakure? It said they were both in Orochimaru's labs, but doesn't he have labs all over the continent? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.91.155.164 (talk) 01:47, 18 April 2007 (UTC).

True, but They were Otogakurans (?) in effect as they were both in Orochimaru's domain. You Can't See Me! 23:26, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I know this is off topic, but does ant one know the last names of Karin,Jugo, etc.?

Team Snake or Hebi?

Honestly in the manga he goes Hebi much like the fire shadow for hokage who else agrees it should be Hebi?

That's a flawed analogy. A scantalation is not an official translation. We go by English. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:42, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

ok then lets start calling akatuski dawn if we go by english

There's a reason we don't translate Hokage as "fire shadow" or Akatsuki as "Dawn" - because it wouldn't make sense in the context. Similarly, Team Snake makes more sense than Team Hebi (most people would read that and wonder "What's a hebi?"). Although if you really want to rename Akatsuki to "Dawn" that can be arranged... --Pentasyllabic 19:16, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Fuma Clan Images

Couldn't the images for the Fuma Clan simply be removed? All of them are unnotable characters who were present for a single arc. It would offer some relief to the overload of images Naruto articles currently have. Sephiroth BCR 04:33, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Or, as a win win, is there a scene (and therefore an image) that depicts all of the the Fuma clan members at once? ~SnapperTo 04:36, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Image:NarutoEpisode138.jpg
This depicts four of the six, but Sasame's back is turned. I suppose there was an image of the entire Fuma clan when Sasame was reminiscing on the subject, but someone would have to upload that. Sephiroth BCR 04:58, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Not all of them; Sasame's flashback focuses on Arashi but none of the others are shown. --BrokenSphere 22:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

wtf??

ok today i was checking about kidomaru and the rest to see somestuff and it is changed WHO KEEPS CHANGING THE NAMES!!!!!!!--Jackjohnson15 19:33, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Does Kimimaro deserve his own article?

The length of his section has stood the test of time and remains the longest character description on this page (with 621 words), and it could easily have more added to it without padding. Also, Kimimaro displays a rather large range of techniques which are clumsy to find at the moment: characters with their own page have all their techniques linked, but Kimimaro has no links to his unique techniques. I think moving Kimimaro off to his own page would keep this page a lot tidier given the recent bulge for Team Snake, make it a lot easier to look up his techniques, and be well-deserved considering Kakuzu and Hidan have their own pages. I don't want to do it without other's opinions, so what does everyone think? Elyssaen 18:33, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

The size can be reduced. His abilities are all found at Kekkei genkai#Shikotsumyaku anyway, and with the recent compression and incorporating of the jutsu articles, this isn't a problem. Sephiroth BCR 23:37, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Kimimaro should get his own article. As Elyssaen mentioned, this article is rather long for this page. I also feel that a lot is left out about him. He is not alive in the series for a very long time, but during his life as well as his flashbacks he is a perfect demonstration of some of the main themes of Naruto such as existentialism and overcoming loneliness. Also, his connection with Jugo is barely mentioned. He plays an important role in the developement of Team Snake. Also, as implied by Team Snake's conversation of Kimimaro as well as his role in Sasuke Retrieval Arc, he plays a very large role in Otogakure; in my opinion, about equal to that of Kabuto. In my opinion, he plays a much more important role than Kakuzu and Hidan who have their own pages. For the love of Naruto, give him his own page. Kimimaro216 02:40, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

All of the above can be said in less than ten sentences. That he's significant for other characters is better mentioned on those character's pages. In any case, there doesn't need to be a discussion or outline of any sorts of the philosophical themes that lie behind these characters. That's for the reader to discern. Sephiroth BCR 02:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps it would be more logical to create a Sound Four article. With techniques moving to character pages for the most part, I take it that this page will get cramped and quickly. Plus, there's the whole issue about Spider-themed techniques; there's too much to go under Kidomaru's header, but it's not a clan-type thing, so it won't fit on the ultimately revised jutsu list. You Can't See Me! 22:22, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Kimimaro deserves an article, although it would be hard, because, Kimimaro is a fan favorite, and it may be biased. -Arcaza

I agree, I say Kimimaro deservers his own artical, his acrticals length is long enough to be made into a spearete one.Ultimaterasengan 14:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
