Is the proposed notation

$L(n,k)=\left\lfloor {\begin{matrix}n\\k\end{matrix}}\right\rfloor$

standard? Or do authors generally content themselves with $L(n,k)$?

Relation with Stirling numbers

The article states the Lah-numbers are related to the Stirling numbers but does not give precise relations. To fill the gap I added such a relation in the Identities and relations section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheoricienQuantique (talk • contribs) 13:31, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Combinatorial interpretation

In the combinatorial interpretation, the description "in such a way that all elements of the same subset are linearly ordered" doesn't seem to match, say, L(3,1) including {(132)}, which appears not to be "linearly ordered".
