The article states: "Lifeless Undead Phenomenon; After World War II, there was a "banned" or secret circus act that suspended dead bodies and subjected them to electric shocks, creating the "dance of the dead", from whence the term "loopy." These morbid acts were briefly "resurrected" (pun intended) at travelling carnies in the 1950's under the guise of "scientific research.""

A web search for "Lifeless Undead Phenomenon" came up with nothing that didn't refer specifically and exclusively to the short story "Dance of the Dead." In the story, no mention is made of electric shocks or suspension, so it doesn't seem to be a case of the author merely wording a synopsis of the story in a confusing way. My understanding is, this is really being presented as a historical fact.

A source, of course-- now that would be interesting. Frogopodia (talk) 19:54, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
