Do not delete this. I am constructing the article. Give me a little more time. It will be fine within an hour.XJeanLuc (talk) 14:53, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

References edit

I will describe the references here.

  • Knjiga 9, Stanovništvo, uporedni pregled broja stanovnika 1948, 1953, 1961, 1971, 1981, 1991, 2002, podaci po naseljima, Republički zavod za statistiku, Beograd, maj 2004, ISBN 86-84433-14-9

This first one gives the total number of residents throughout the indicated years of 1948 through 2002. The source is from the Serbian government. Basically, census data.

  • Knjiga 1, Stanovništvo, nacionalna ili etnička pripadnost, podaci po naseljima, Republički zavod za statistiku, Beograd, februar 2003, ISBN 86-84433-00-9

The second source (again from the Serbian gov't) gives data on the ethnic composition.

  • Knjiga 2, Stanovništvo, pol i starost, podaci po naseljima, Republički zavod za statistiku, Beograd, februar 2003, ISBN 86-84433-01-7

Third source gives data on the age structure and sex of the population.

Fourth source gives data on the geographic location of Krcevac (how many kilometres from Topola and Zagorica).

The fifth source is somewhat supportive of what I called "local lore" with respect to the etymology of the name "Krćevac". There are two or three sentences describing the present deforestation in the area and there is one comment relating to how Krcevac received its name to begin with - from the clearing of trees. The source as a whole however is about bee-keeping (haha), but the there is enough data on what I was looking for.XJeanLuc (talk) 15:46, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The sixth reference will be on the very notable resident Karađorđe Petrović. Its located at http://arhiva.glas-javnosti.co.yu/arhiva/2002/09/22/srpski/DO02092101.shtml . The fifth paragraph is the one I will be referring to. It discusses Karadjordje's relationship with Topola and Krćevac. If you need further elaboration please let me know. The citation just added is from the sixth source, unfortunately it is in Serbian but is on the same page as the fifth paragraph. If you search the page for "ajdučkom kućom" you will find the text where the info is located. The publication "Glas" is basically a news publication.99.234.179.83 (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

In-text Citations edit

There was only one spot in the article where an editor suggested the addition of in-text citations. I've added that citation (linking to the sixth source). So, I would like to remove the message at the article top that says that the article lacks in-text citing since the problem has been fixed. XJeanLuc (talk) 15:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
