Talk:Korg Kronos

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I would respectfully submit that this article does not sound like an advertisement; I am familiar with this particular instrument, and the specifications presented in the article are accurate. As well, there don't appear to be any statements comparing the instrument to other products, favourably or negatively, and a lack of the superlatives usually used in advertisements. I started this article since there wasn't one yet. Admittedly, it will probably need some work, partly because it is a new synthesizer, and partly because it's capabilities aren't typical of most synthesizers with articles on Wikipedia. I'm open to suggestions. synthfiend (talk) 22:52, 6 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wow, that didn't take long! Tagged for single-source reference, written like an advertisement, not enough articles linking to it. Made improvements, will be making more, I welcome other contributions. synthfiend (talk) 04:30, 7 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think that the Korg Kronos, if it fulfills its promise as the heir to OASYS, will be a very important addition to the field. As I understand it, although there are a few out, it will not arrive in the US (at least) until September. I mention this because the concern that this article reads like an "ad" is more a function of the limited information that is currently available. Mostly press releases and a few demos on YouTube. That will all shift as more people get their hands on this and begin writing about it. Charlie Kreitzberg (talk) 18:51, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I recently needed to catch up on the topic of the Kronos, and become familiar with upgrades for a client. I used this article to do so, and noticed the talk section here to be rather previous.

so i'm adding this here, as i know it's not for the main article, but could be of good use for the writers and editors of it: Guitar Center has a fairly decent write up on their page: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Korg-New-Kronos-61-Key-Music-Workstation-110872306-i4034320.gc I'm also not sure of protocol for this, but there is no external or official sites posted at the bottom of the article either. This is the dedicated page for the Kronos on the Korg site: Support Kronos  : http://i.korg.com/SupportPage.aspx?productid=598 Support Kronos X : http://i.korg.com/SupportPage.aspx?productid=638 Support Kronos2  : http://i.korg.com/SupportPage.aspx?productid=724 Brianfedirko (talk) 01:36, 30 January 2015 LA time. Please give me guidance, I really want to help.
