Talk:Kidd Video

"Kidd Video was a Saturday morning cartoon in the 1980s that was quintessential of the decade."

Yikes. That use of "quintessential" is quintessential of "used improperly."

This Article "Phails" on So Many Levels edit

I had to remove a lot of untrue "broadcasting history". OTOH, if it did air on CTV in Canada during it's initial run, then I'll leave that there. As for Rede Globo in Brazil, well okay maybe this should mentioned in the article somewhere, but the thing is I had to mvoe that entire section. Most of it was totally made up. It never aired Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, or anywhere. Brittany Ka 16:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Other facts about Kidd Video edit

The cartoon preceded Beavis and Butthead by several years by inserting music videos inside an animated story. Also, the real people in the title part of the show is an actual band. They were on Dance Fever in 1984 (when Adrian Zmed was host) singing a remake of the Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go." - see Youtube. So this was a complete fabricated band - real performers along with an accompanying cartoon - and even an attempt at hitting the pop charts which they didn't do.

Did they really return home? edit

The article says "Towards the end of the series run it appeared the group found their way back home to the real world and would sometimes return to the Flipside to help others in need." I do remember an episode or two where at least one of them gets home without the others but voluntarily comes back just on the principle that "when they make it home they'll do it together". Others have them almost getting home but they usually sacrifice their chance to get home in order to send home instead a band that Master Blaster kidnapped. Like most cartoons of the era, I think it ended without us knowing their final fate.137.198.20.56 (talk) 18:30, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
