165 mph?

@Brianhe: Do we have a source for the 165mph top speed? Was this the fastest production motorcycle in 1988? --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:23, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Happy Independence Day and yes, I think the CW "Ludicrous Speed" piece says "Now we are deep into the 10s—10.76 at 127.54 mph—and 165 mph on top." Unless I'm misreading which model thatapplied to? Brianhe (talk) 21:27, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Oops, I didn't see the second page. I got another one. Cycle Word September 1988 gives 167mph. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:32, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
