Discussion: Verification Required edit

The last paragraph in the Occurrence section needs to be verified. The current phrasing implies a conflict of interest. Could someone verify 69.141.147.215's changes? Thank you.

Stereochemistry edit

The molecular structure contradicts the IUPAC name - the structure would be (2S,3R,4R), but probably the IUPAC name is correct, as the structure in the German article is different in the 3 and 4 positions and the IUPAC name is the same. Icek (talk) 22:44, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Erm... I don't get it. This structure resolves to (2S,3S,4S), and the structure in the German article is identical, except for the collapsed carboxyl groups (–COOH). Fvasconcellos (t·c) 23:12, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The structure is not the same - the broken wedges mean that the atom at the base of the wedge is behind the drawing plane, or the atom at the tip is in front of the drawing plane, and with non-broken wedges it's the other way around, right? Then look closely at the broken wedges on the English and German pages - on the German page, the carboxymethyl and prop-1-en-2-yl moieties are in front of the pyrrolidine ring, while on the English page, they are behind the pyrrolidine ring. ball and stick model edit

The ball and stick model looks like missing one oxygen. It seems that one sour OH-radikal is substituted by a methyl-group, forming a ketone. Sadorkan (talk) 21:09, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you are correct about the error. I have removed the images and will contact the author of those images about correcting them. Thanks for catching the error and reporting it here. -- Ed (Edgar181) 21:16, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

pKb edit

11.966? By far too low for a pyrrolidine... --FK1954 (talk) 18:31, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
